I'm very ignorant about tattoos. Can someone explain the motivation behind the all black sleeves? I don't get it.
Don’t worry I got 1/3 of my body tatted and I still don’t know why people get blacked out sleeves

It's typically a cover up method, to cover up tattoos you don't like anymore instead of getting lazer removal. But it's also it's own artform and style of tattooing which takes a lot of skill and which many people think looks great when done well, myself included. However, it is still taboo in most places of the world, but hopefully that attitude shifts because blackout looks awesome imo.
