So correction, didn't realize its just forward dodge that is unlocked at level 20. You can still dodge in other directions before
Its kind of useful in stealth gameplay as you can sort of hop from cover to cover.
I was gonna say that. You can back step at the beginning then you unlock forward Dodge, honestly don't see a reason to have Dodge as it's never helped me but 🤷🏿♂️
Nightbot then you aren't playing a melee build or using melee weapon a lot
What?
@@samepo3102 Help a ton vs primals even as a rifle character.
The "Sprat is a Space Rat" fact is the only one which we need.
I am antagonising you, because all you give us is mostly useless.
It's mostly common knowledge the game tells you.
Great for shootin.
@@quasipsychedelicepiphany. not onyl common knowledge,b ut everything besides the afk camera is neatly tutorialized withing the first area of the game, you just have to read
The outer worlds: 12 features you may have missed.
Fallout 76: 12 bugs not fixed since launch.
120*
Ugh can we stop mentioning 76 now? Pls?
Btw , i bought fallout 76 at launch . I enjoyed it especially the beginning . But once i was almost max lvl i lost interest
You can always Dodge. Being at 20 just allows the forward lunge.
Can do backwards at 20 also.
Thanks, the game didn’t tell me that at the beginning right when you get out of your pod as you’re going through the tutorial.
@@anderson52ma you can do that at any dodge level before 20 as well, getting to 20nunlocks the forward dodge
@@anderson52ma you can always do backwards. front is the only one thats locked, and it's locked because it's pretty op to lunge out of the shadows with mele stealth build. I think anyway, otherwise why lock off only the forward motion.
There are people who didnt know that?
A few things I'd like to add...
When fighting a group, TTD is better used with the hit effects instead of killing. Fighting a big robot? Melee the torso and knock it out for long enough to kill. Caught in the middle of four marauders? Shoot all their heads or legs to blind or cripple (they hold still for a while too which is a godsend for anyone struggling to aim).
Finally, the bin in your room is not the only storage you have. Two of the three lockers by the entrance of your ship are also for storage. Same with the two fridges in the kitchen. I have 40hrs in the game, I can attest that they're all safe.
Also, you can lunge while stealthing. I'm not sure how quiet it is but you immediately re-enter stealth when you land.
Ikr, when killing that ex-pirate in Felix’s quest I pop TTD and pop each of the 4-6 people in the head.
Some of them are 1 shot, but the rest get staggered and blinded, giving me enough time to kill most of them before a single body even hits the floor.
The game does tell you about the blue weakspots when you first encounter an enemy robot.
Also if you do the quest for the guy at edgewater (can't remember his name, but I'm sure the mission is called die robot, die) he tells you about their weakspot in a comedic way
Yea Ludwig tells you about them. Thats how I first found out
@@MDM1204 that's his name! Thanks lol
@@XxLew no problem, had trouble remembering his name too lol
lol I just used my experience from past games to figure it out.
"...never tells you about" except in the menus and tool tips.
If you are an enemy of a faction, you have to pay more at vending machines.
How do you become an allie?
@@zaccreighton7297 just by doing they're quest, doing enough of them gives you discounts and allies in combat
@@BrotherLeegro what if theres no quests to do at the moment for a faction and you are "kill on sight". How do you raise your rep with that faction so you can walk freely through the town with out getting shot?
I've had some issues with the Board and Byzantium....
@@astari_1014 Try sleeping for a long time
@@astari_1014 I found a pseudo fix for that if you haven't already. I was Kill on sight by the board and what I had to do was kill all the guards between me and a few quests and I did the quests for the board and eventually i got my praise to about 51% and my fear was at 100 and then i wasn't listed as kill on sight anymore
Literally the only question I need answered regarding Outer Worlds: Is there an in-game developer console?
Yes, but you need a mod to unlock it., see nexus
CORRECTION: You can doubletap dodge If you hold A or D or S while doubletapping. W unlocks at 20 skillpoints.
How I mostly use it is just press nothing else and double tap to make distance to enemies who charge me. Same as pressing backwards but you don't need to actually press backwards.
@MR FREEZE-98 Enjoy your almost 30fps lol.
@MR FREEZE-98 did you just say that as an attempt to ridicule me? xD This is the most autistic thing i've been exposed to in days, thanks for the chuckle
You can learn to shoot the "shiny blue thingy" on automechanicals by doing the quest "Die Robot" at the beginning. Just so you are aware! 😄 Love your videos and always have been helpful on learning new games and new things about games I play!
Take S.A.M. to Ground breaker and talk to the Robot vendor near the engineering department. Thank me later.
Haven't unlocked S.A.M yet as I can't go to the planet yet to get the part you need. What happens when you take him?
Oh yeah, I actually saw that.
Lewis I’m not going to tell you what the exchange is, however, you can get to Roseway if you talk to Gladys on the Groundbreaker and agree to do her “opportunity”. The building then holding your item is south of the landing pad you landed your ship on. Also Roseway is on Terra 2.
Will try that, thanks!
Idk who S.A.M is or when you meet him but I'll try to remember this. I'm only just now about to leave the starting planet
Oh btw melee is the highest damaging weapon you could make just by specking for only one weapon the Science hammer on the groundbreaker I’ve gotten it to 2700 per hit with it being ranged and it’s only level 16 so I haven’t even made it as broken as possible and it already one hits every enemy I have access to including matiqueen
For storage on the ship you have the container in the captain's cabin, the 2 lockers right in the entrance area, a small container in Sam's closet and then 2 refrigerators in the common mess area.
One feature people miss are the consumable use. On your consumables tab at the top of the item list there are slots you can put consumables in next to the adreno syringe. Based on your medical skill there are 1-3 slots to put consumables in. After you do that using the adreno inhaler will always also automatically use those consumables and apply their effect. If a stack of consumables is used it will also start using any other consumables of the same type if you have them in your inventory. What I do is that I have really high medical skill so I am using the +25 base health, 200% health regeneration and then one combat buff consumables. I always take a shot from inhaler every time I am going into a fight to apply all those effects.
Doing this also starts a hidden counter to give you a Flaw, either an addiction to the drugs put in the other slots (you can end up with multiple addictions this way) or if you put food in there, you can end up with a metabolism Flaw that works effectively like a food addiction.
"You can't take the sky from me."
This.
Ludwig in emerald Vale tells you about the blue spot weakness in robots
That double space is a dodge and works in all directions, not just forwards. Getting level 20 simply unlocks the forward dodge
The time dilation thing where it drains slowly when standing still, the game does tell you this. Useful video thhough, thank you
lol reading hard, words hurt brain? the game tells you about it in the beginning in a tooltip that only goes away when you press a button
@@tommerker8063 uuuh look at this guy with tough words
Turn your assault rifle into electric damage and the robots are easy, Also I'm playing on hard difficulty and they go down pretty easy with that.
Plasma weapons are also good.
The game actually does tell you about robot weak spots before you even fix your ship.
The sprat thing is also explained on Groundbreaker.
Right near the exit of the interior of the ship there is also some lockers that you can store stuff into.
I dont think those lockers let you store items only take them
@@kingslayer8431 Press Y if you're on Xbox or Triangle on PS4. Don't know what button for pc but yes they do, I store my weapons in one locker and my mods in the other one.
@@iwantsomecornxx6908 thanks man I'll try it would be super convenient
@@kingslayer8431 yep you can
IWantSomeCorn Xx Mine is bugged on the XB. It just stays empty. 😒 Pressing (Y) swaps my weapon. I have tried 100 times from every angle. The (Y) prompt only showed up once when I looted the locker after entering the ship for the 1st time.
I even loaded old saves from the start of the game. Same issue. Which is weird.
I use quicksave when playing and use full save when i'm done playing
I use hard saves at start of quests.
Quick saves mid way thru quests
Faris Fitri can u quick save on console, haven’t found a way yet?
How do you quick save?
@@Shorkshire F5 quick save, F9 to quick load. Pro tip, check the keybinds of new games to find mechanics that werent tutorialized
Love this game. The conversation is interesting and the decisions feel so hard to make along with having multiple follow up choices before it's all said and done.
Other thing in configs are to change the showing DPS for Damage itself, all sniper will have a low DPS, but the damage per fire will be higher
Yep it's getting a lot of people to never try the OP sniper build
Just an fyi, you don't have to have a Xbox to use game pass. Windows 10 1903 has game pass available too. That's how I'm playing. PC gaming with Microsoft game pass.
Can you tell me what to do and where to go do it please?
@@rainygamedays5873 go to your Microsoft store. It's usually an advertisement in that for it. Otherwise just use the search function and search game pass. Just make sure your system is up to date with 1903. Otherwise it won't let you download games.
Re: weapons in inventory... I found myself identifying the weapons and armor that I liked best then broke everything else down for repairing my gear.
Good to see you making videos on a game that deserves the attention :D
Don't forget the fact that you get exp for killing enemies for killing a sprat, Doesn't matter where it it, in a combat area or not.
Some of them are not really hidden for me. I always open options before playing.
My tip for inventory is that mods have a weight, I think 0.5 each
Good stuff, however one recommendation. You went from point-1 to point-2 without a pause. Which was hard to follow. If you can't take pause, may be a visual cue will help
Most of these are for people who just don't wanna read or search through menus, these are the same people that we have to put flammable on gas cans for.
Honestly though. I always go through menus at the start of the game.
Dodgle unlocks only dodging forward if you dont dump point into dodge you can still double tap space in any direction just not forward
And if you don't pick a direction, you jump backwards. Really the only useful application for a non-upgraded dodge. To make some distance to enemies charging into you.
The most important thing I got out of this was space rat
Sprats
This was one of my anticipated games of 2019. So glad I bought it.
I wish there was more to this game. I just beat it and can't imagine playing it again until DLC. Also would be nice if there were more than like 10 different weapons and armor lol
YG Guacamole I just wish there was way more variety overall in the designs of weapons and armor I kinda hate how every piece of actual armor is just a recolor of the same stuff you’ve been seeing since the very first planet
@@violentbobross155 One of the game's biggest flaws no armor variety. Heck it doesn't even have weapon variety its really lacking....I thought The Outer Worlds was gonna be big.
There's multiple endings and ways missions turn out, theres even entire areas you can only access through playing differently. You've probably seen about 20% of this game on one playthrough.
The games akin to Baldurs Gate, you can tackle the situations in many different ways, resulting in different outcomes. It's about the journey, not the destination.
@@subsume7904 that's a blatant lie, I'm a completionist and did every side quest I found and came out to 21 hours of playtime. Replaying and taking different paths would add maybe 10 more max factoring out repeat events. Baldurs gate is an over 100 hour game for a single playthrough. Not comparable at all.
@@shaetsu4045 so youre telling me you also went the dumb rout and skiped hope into the sun killing evryone or join the board to only kill akande then work for phineas again also its more important to watch diffrente endings if youre a completionist then i guess you finished edgewater all 4 ways right? as the guy above was saying there are soo many quests in the game and alot are secret only unlocked if you talk to the npcs in a certain ways and every quest has 2 or more outcomes so i doubt you did every quest and every possibility the game gives you
I freaking love this game man!
Fucking sick game man
@@srxxx1326 Freaking Fuckyng Awesome game man
Fucking freaking sickass game mens!!!
I like that we have a crew and go to other planets (kinda feel like being the guardians of the galaxy), if they make a sequel wish they make the planet bigger for us to explore and more planets
I love this game as well and cannot wait for the 2nd one. It is one of the reasons I'm getting an xbox over ps5
all of these are tutorialized within the first 30 minutes of the game, if you missed any of those you should propably learn to read, also friendly fire is not a thing (maybe on supernova?)
You can put it in idle mode from the menu to see your character instead of waiting.
There is also a storage locker right beside the exit door on your ship. Very important for weapon/gear collectors.
Another niche: starting the game with 30 engineering puts you one level from getting basic mods at a 40% chance.
This makes the games pace pick up so fast, as you break down every weak weapon. Now a lvl 1 sword worth 5 bits has a 40% chance to give a mod worth 50-65 bits. I had around 40 mods before I was level 7.. 40×50=2000 bits before level 8 and plus what I've picked up. put me at 5k before lvl 8.
You can almost skip a side area with this method and progress your main story, especially early on if done right. Plus you always have the weak mods so you dont have to worry about using one on a weapon whenever you want.
you can use the dodge even without having points, the 20 points unlock the forward doge only, but the backward and side are allways unlock, that's why you see the lil'thingi on the UI :)
1:47 I accidentally skipped some dialogue and reload that area. Even though it doesn't say it I found out square (for PS4) is skip
Ok, first video back here, after a long time away, and the first tip in this first video is *super useful*. Resub. Nice to be back man. Cheers. Off to play some Outer Worlds, looking forward to seeing what you're up to these days 😁
One thing about time dilation: Don't use it with a sniper rifle. With the basic pistol or an assault rifle you can blind and/or cripple a bunch of enemies in one go, with the sniper the most I have gotten is two shots before the bar runs out. I tend to start combat from afar with the sniper and when enemies start returning fire or running towards me I switch to assault rifle and blind the ones that are shooting and cripple the ones that are running.
Glad you are doing The Outer Worlds Juice!
6:39 I use that chest for weapons and more then there are two lockers by the cockpit where I use one for head pieces and one for body, I will probably keep my more in that chest but move my weapons to the two fridges in the kitchen of the ship so I can have one for melee and one for guns. Point is that there is at least 5 different containers on your ship where you can store stuff not just the one in the captains quarters.
Shock cannon for robots JuiceHead. Short range but boy are they effective
Yeah that thing puts them to sleep quick like overdosing a baby on Nyquil
I literally maxed up Dodge and now I can jump from one planet to another
The dodge ability can be used no matter what by double clicking space bar, the ability to forward lunge is unlocked with the dodge skill
Have you had any problems with the tinkering cost/science skill? I sunk a lot of points into science and it was supposed to cap my tinkering costs on science weapons at level 80, but it didn’t actually kick in until I maxed science to 100 (base stat no bonuses)
Can’t wait to see your opinions on the outer worlds being in the same universe as fallout, seems to be quite a lot supporting it from both outer worlds and even in NV. Super interesting
Wish the Inhaler had been more thoroughly explained. Got hit with -2 to all Attributes after Adreno-time crash because I *DIDN'T* know that the slots make a cocktail, not a selection to choose for the Inhaler.
Eothr - I got hit with an infinite -3 to all attributes because of an Adrena-time crash on hard during the final boss fight. I became overencumbered and couldn't do anything about it no matter how much stuff I dropped. Not good
@@Red_Beard2798 Ouch.
Love this game. Hoping Outer Worlds 2 is much bigger!!!
Another good tip is to attack every npc
I'll do that when the game is beaten and become a hero. Then I become a monster and laugh maniacally.
It took me 3 hours to finish the game at lvl 20 by playing a melee reaper build that kills everything on sight, fun gameplay
@@SkoutYin Finished the game at 2Days 1hr and some change playing on normal as a "Peacemaker Good Guy". Thorough exploration with 1 botched mission (mission was cancelled because of a choice I made) and 1 side quest not completed. There's a quest where you collect outfits for a clothier and I figure I'll just do that one on my next play. I figure about 9 hours of that total time was idleness. The game kinda has a snowball effect built into it if/once you select the speed perks and fast travel locations. I focused on Hand Guns, Science, Engineering, Pick Lock and Persuade. Shrink Ray was OPAF.
Wade Deason I really don’t think combat stats are worth it in a first play through, the items you get already destroy everything so if you just go into non combat stats you’ll be able to do pretty much anything
Resubscribed! I missed you Juicehead!
funny to see that on the screen you use to show the benefit of reputation, the intimidate check is indeed lower at 100% but the Persuade check is higher.
"Focus on the blue part," I cannot second this enough. Especially when you verse the BIG DADDY of all mechs i the whole game.
6:15
Yeah but I collect all the baseball, I mean tossball cards.
You can “unjunk” them, and they appear in general, I think.
I'm curious if your initial skills have an effect on your skill check requirements not your reputation? Was 3:17 recorded in the same story or in different stories with different initial skills (Strength, intelligence, personality)? Someone brought this up to me on why 1 skill check is easier while the other is harder in your 100% reputation video.
You forgot to mention you can holster your weapon (I didnt find this out till midway into my playthrough)
Just got this a few days ago and loving it!
The game actually DOES tell you about how to kill the auotmechanics. He literally says "Shoot the square blue box".
Woah! Very first tip is a game changer!
Lol thanks to my first playthrough being on supernova I had no idea about the quick save bank
So a couple more things about Outer Worlds in case you want to do a followup video
1> When you see electricity traps spanning an area, usually causing you to leap over or duck under to circumnavigate, look around. There is usually piping or wiring connected to these things, and they lead to these spinning, barely noticeable things on the ceilings and walls. Destroy those and you destroy the traps.
2> On Halcyon, you will see these plants that look like Tentacles. Those MAY be the horrific imaginings of some concept artist, but those plants actually exist here on Earth. The Clathrus Archeri, also known as the Octopus Stinkhorn or Devil's Fingers... and their mature plants smell like rotting flesh. --> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clathrus_archeri
Still new, how do you put out the fire with those annoying prey mantis looking things that spray fire on you?
How did uget that weapon? It seem to have a mind control effect right?
i wish i could use multiple quests at the same time for the markers
one thing i dont understand in the codex it mentions how undiscovered locations show on the map, for me locations only show on the map after youve uncovered them? dont make sense
I saw a reddit post today about decorating the ship they said they dropped stuff from the inventory in the ship and its appears all over is this true. Or is it just the usual decorations we find while exploring and doing quests?
On an Xbox controller you can skip a line of dialog by pressing the X button. I assume on PS4 that'd correspond to Square.
From the start, you can dodge sideways or backward, it's only the forward lunge that is gated at 20 Dodge
I kept my companions on aggressive since really theres no point in actively commanding them to attack when they have to fight anyway. My strategy was to have all my companions with specialized grenade launchers to stand at a far away safe location so that I could distract enemies behind cover and be able to shoot them without being withing their field of view. This made it so enemies focused attacks on me while companions shot them from the side. On the of chance a straggler heads for my companions I could ttd shoot them as they would move into my field of view past cover. This also helps with melee attackers that may try to get behind me but will get shot because they're in clear view of companions to blast them away. Grenade launchers are great given how they can take out large crowds, but even in closed spaces this makes it easy to pick them off one at a time as they try to go through a door with us on opposite sides to always have the advantage to get them off guard.
This is my key to surviving early game supernova.
(make sure to use mods when you can)
The double space bar thing is always there because you can always use it, it’s just a side dodge until you get to 20 dodge
About the Dodge skill.... You can use backwards dodge before lvl 20, it's the forward dash that gets unlocked at 20
Hey should I sell or break those items that I don't plan to use?
Ok so one thing many people don't know about supernova is that even though your companions can die permanently, there is a skill in the third tier of perks that resurrects down companions by using the medicinal enhaler. AND IT WORKS IN SUPERNOVA, WHICH IS FECKIN TIGHT, BOYO
If you hold down triangle on ps4 a weapon wheel comes up. It also slows down time in game I use it to scan the field when in combat and plan out a kill route.
Outer Worlds is great, playing for the rest of this rainy day.
rained for me too lol
What are you going to play once it stops raining?
@@delugesofgrandeur real life

@@delugesofgrandeur Bills got to be paid
Another thing about the idle camera is that you can activate it from the pause menu whenever you want
all of the enemies and NPC's and stuff all damage each other too. I mean this might be straight forward really, but friendly fire works for them as well. I've had bad guys accidentally kill their mates while fighting them.
also you can't switch between healing items. the slots you unlock are actually to add to your base healing item. so what you do is spec the inhaler to have the effects you want, based on the items you have in your bag. the more slots you unlock, the better you can make your healing charges. It's really cool actually. I wish dark souls would do this with estus flasks next, you making different types of flasks for different fights that can give buffs and stuff, would save loads of time. it's a cool idea.
The Dodge thing is always there because now matter what your Dodge skill is at you can do a backwards dodge. You finally get the forward dodge at the level 20 like he said.
“It’s not the best choice, it’s spacer’s choice!”
Thanks! Glad you finally have a GOOD game to make content for! :-)
So do you ever get to go to Olympus or Hephaestus? I beat it once, but I want to go to those planets on the next playthrough.
There are other storage containers besides the one in the Captain quarter. There are some lockers next to the cockpit for example
Actually, I believe the robot weak spot thing is told to you by Ludwig?
At least I know I learned about it from some NPC in the game, telling me to hit them in the glowy bits.
Might have been Parvati too, who knows.
Whats that gun your using?
With the jump dodge you can do this from the beginning just not forward, only left and right. I'm only like 75% certain of this though.
i do quicksave when doing mission and normal save when entering new area or planets.
With the robot weakness. If you talk to Ludwig in Edgewater and ask him during his quest Die, Robot. You can ask him. What is the easiest way to take down a robot and he will tell you to shot at the blue parts. I just wanted to say where you can find the information in game.
As much as I love this game, it was far too empty and short. 3 playthroughs and I still feel like there should have been way more. Here's hoping the next one takes this amazing foundation and just builds exponentially on it!
Let's hope they make in way better with some DLC that adds new stuff to the game
From the get go the weapons showed damage and I didn't do anything. Cool about the bots was part of game in Xenosaga and HZD.
I have to turn off my WiFi when I load the game, and turn it back on when I’m done. I always played online. But one day, my huge save decided that it wanted to be an offline save instead. Freaked me out until I figured it out.
never used it, but is idle camera NOT literally just a button for the "waiting for 3rd person" type camera? I assumed it was, but never cared about it, so I never used it.
0:33 Guy just chilling while getting blasted, seems obsidian caught something from bethesda
I’m enjoying this game an absolute ton. The only mod I think is needed ASAP is a color overhaul. I’m all for a more colorful world but this game looks like it was drawn with neon crayons
The trait is only for a forward dodge, everyone can dodge left right and back from the start
The two tips at the beginner are the best. Thanks for posting this video, and thanks for putting the most meaningful content up-front. Good job.
