I am 71 years old and I feel so lucky because I figured this stuff out when I was in my 40s. Didn’t really make my life much better financially but I’ve been a very happy person. Because I don’t depend on others for my happiness. It is really nice though when they’re there to share it with you.

At 65 I have been doing a lot of the things you said for a while now and your words couldnt be truer. I only wish that I had seen the truth at 40. Thank you for your affirmations.

Mr. Hopkins, thank you for sharing the thoughts and wisdom you have made available. I watch as many of them as possible, some more than once. I wonder where what you teach will take us.

One of the challenges of becoming aged is that what you have begun to understand better makes little sense to younger folk, who increasingly become the majority around you. As you realize they cannot understand you, you learn to say less. The second challenge is to patiently watch as they confuse your silence with senility.

Success is: when the whole world leaves you behind, you say, "OH, what a beautiful day."

Unfortunately success is in direct correlation with the level of your intellect and this is binary with having funds over 60 to enjoy its derivatives. If you have not read Dostoevsky (vis a vis steineck or hemingway - simpetons) or the philosophy of Espinoza or listened to Wagner (versus eddy arnold (old Bibby) as vitamins for your soul you simply migrate to MSM narratives (economist or le monde) for daily nourishment. A truly successful ending means u avoid the chatter (but U speak several languages) all around you and have your own orbit (nature) around the sun, and that generally means living alone with nature and using the wood U cut for heating your cabin, and having a purebred dog who is as intelligent as U R as ur best companion. < 1% can achieve success despite how many of Hopkin's parables they digest.

Might want to change your perspective. The world doesn’t leave you behind, it just flows. You decide how the flow affects you, and how you affect the flow.

I’m Turning 55 Years Old Generation X The Ocean of Change in Knowledge From The Internet and Technology, Social Media Has been an Educational Journey for me! My Father who Passed away in 2012 Kept saying who needs the Internet and Cellphones!! Thank you Anthony For These Life Reflecting and Phycological Self Mental Awarenesses into Our Ways of Thinking!! We are Heading Into 2025 So Watching this Video At the End Of the Year is Perfect!! U r only partially correct in ur assessment of ur dad IMHO. The internet, social media, smartphones are mostly adjuncts to the city dweller or office worker who needs them for stimulation or self-worth. I live in the hybrid world of smart devices and gigabit speeds BUT more importantly i spend my valuable time on analog projects like sharpening chainsaw blades which help me cut wood for my fireplace n keep warm in winter and herbs grown in the garden. Ur dad probably lived in a similar domain or maybe even raised chickens but 99% of those relying on algorithms and gigabit speeds wud not know how to tie a bow knot or speak another language in the west except english. Sooo sad how dumbed down we have become becuz of the internet.

    • @DanielRoss-b8w

The ads are not the fault of Mr. Hopkins, but the design of the UA-cam platform. If you pay a subscription to UA-cam, the ads stop appearing, apparently.

If i gave you a, Kilo of, 22 carat gold. What would you do with it? The way to look at gold wealth, money is, you are the last person on earth. You travel around with a, big truck. Would you empty every jewellery shop?pillaging it's gold? Or would you look for food. Stuff you can actually use? apart from adornement gold is, useless.

Wouldn't it be nice if humans were actually born with wisdom. As opposed to having to acquire it. Some individuals get it eventually. Most do not, and will not.

If the value of your life is so defined by your work that it loses all meaning when you stop working, then you may be a true wage slave-one of the saddest forms of slavery because the master’s whip is internalized.
