You're not missing anything great. I've lived in Melbourne and adelaide for around the same amount if years.
Adelaide roads, drivers, people, food, pizzas, housing and utility costs are shit.
For quality of life Melbourne and Brisbane are tops.
Adelaide is so broken down and poorly run it lags behind some third world countries.

@@jacintaedwards1123 Well don't come here then. Typical snotty Victorian that looks your nose down at anything outside of Victoria. Here's a tip from an ex Sydneysider. As liveable as Melbourne is, if Adelaide's job market improved it'd be ten times more liveable than Melbourne.

Don't waste your money. Adelaide is a third world dump. shit roads, shit people, shit drivers, shit trains, shit food, extremely high prices and no decent rental properties. Go to Perth or Brisbane instead.

@@Adelaide_Transit Hmmmm, Sorry I don't see the quality of life you speak of.
In Adelaide I see very poor roads, very aggressive and unskilled drivers, poor quality of produce,
very high vehicle costs, very high utility costs, high rental prices on par with Melbourne now yet wages are lower.
The people are miserable and childish, far too inquistive for my liking.
      Shit weather in summer.
Nope, Melbourne has enjoyed the highest standards of living since 1860. I know because I've reserached this topic well. Perth was always not far behind Melbourne, now Brisbane takes 2nd place.
Adelaide is miles behind Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Adelaide is a third world town with poor infrastructure and very very bad roads!

I once saw a Seaford or Flinders to Adl train and a Belair to Adl right beside eachother at this station. It was weird. It was like they were racing...

Why didn't the State Govt just call this station "Wayville"? The showgrounds aren't used very often and it would be far easier to print timetables and signs with one word instead of two. Maybe that's too difficult for adelaide people to understand???

Can someone please explain this obsession with stainless-steel sides on these new trains? First V-Line and now Adelaide. It makes the trains seem as though they were designed for service in the 1930’s, and built from newly-rediscovered management plans from that era! Can’t new trains have simple metal panels which can be painted in the fleet colours. The trains would look a lot more attractive, and not so stark!

    • @deanl4575
      @deanl4575 3 роки тому

I don’t know either, but also Perth and Brisbane have these stainless steel designs. It’s mainly because it was designed by Bombardier, but I’m not sure why.

@@Adelaide_Transit Well that may be true about the Electric trains however the Diesel trains running to Belair are a different story. I have spoken with a few of the drivers and they tell me they are unreliable, break down regularly and they are slow. I know this because I have ridden the Belair line many times over the last 2 years. Adelaide station is an absolute disgrace. its dirty, ugly, dark and looks like something from the New York subway in the 1970s. They need to have a high roof and have the platforms lit up a lot more. And more display screens on the platforms. Just go and see Flinders Street, Southern Cross and Perth's central station for inspiration.
