As a non-us citizen , I would prefer if US companies kept their AI and their data centers within US. So there is no constant fear about who is getting the AI tech and other geopolitical concerns, and avoid unnecessary anxiety and headaches to everyone. Peace.

Australia has major power issues, huge turmoil on the generation side. Companies like GEV in the US could easily fast track turbines for NG for some massive generation needs and could co-locate them in a block with some data centers and secondarily connect them to the grid to supply excess power... One risk I see is overbuilding that gets hammered by smart people figuring out how to streamline all the training side for better accuracy and not requiring so much power/facility. Refinement is a real thing when ever any new tech is evolving; someone figures out a way to do it more efficiently...

Not 100% agreeing with his take on nuclear/coal/gas against renewables though. Since renewables would be used by the rest of the economy. At one point he is right, but we are not there yet.
When it comes to China, The US probably have a reason to be worried when it comes to loosing the leadership as the chinese seems so far to be be vastly superior to US companies in terms of software. Hardware restrictions might help against chinese LLM's, but that will just give the US a 6 month advantage. The chinese advantage in software seems like it might be more than 6 months. And on top of this is the so called US censorship legislations, basically postponing every US technology by 6 months.
US is also only leading the AI space in LLMs. In every other sector they are trailing china or even europe (AI images).

Nuclear produces massive amount of power, it's reliable unlike solar and wind, it produces miminal greenhouse gases, and current advancements make them much safer and more efficent than nuclear power of the past, and would allow the facilities to remain in the control of the U.S. instead of in the hands of foreign powers.

Using the resources left over is the obvious choice, especially considering that it is essential a free resource, and the more time it is recycled down, the amount of time it stays radio active is decreased, solving yet another problem.
