just found your channel recently, and binged a lot of the DM-advice-focused ones yesterday and today. fantastic content, i'm excited for more, excited for your Patreon. i've been GMing D&D-like campaigns (homebrew settings that *strongly* resemble Forgotten Realms) using Fate Core for the past few years. really appreciate how much of your thoughts / advice transfer easily to my non-d20-based games. +1 to the other comment about a follow-up. i think i have a lot to learn from other systems and would love to learn & discuss them here / on your Patreon. thanks again for all your hard work and the awesome content!
Thank you for the support! If the Patreon goes well I hope to soon be talking about many other game systems. Hopefully the Patreon should be up soon though. I want to make sure there is enough content to justify people giving me money.
I would love a follow up. I look at most video's that show alternatives to dnd and they just give an overview of the game, not the specific mechanics that make it fun. Ps. Love your channel, i came for the druid series, i keep coming back for your point of view!
I love the idea of the tower, Jenga has tons of suspense already and adding an RPG to it is awesome. Having people roll on the same table is evil but so fun. Also the thumbnail for this video has some bonus humor now lol
I played a game with jenga as a dungeon, crazy tower that was half colapsed, but every time we got hit or took treasure we had to build jenga tower, had to get to top floor, 8 floor dungeon, and back out b4 tower collapse
Great tips! I'll be checking out the clocks system as I've heard good things about it.
I highly recommend it. Since this video I've used the clock system more to great effect

@@enterthedungeon when you do that calculation, don't forget to factor in all the content you've already given us for free! :D

The Zone system sounds like how Cypher handles movement lol

Progress clocks also sound like they could work with skill challenges too.
Ive been using zones for my dnd 5e campaign for forever haha. My advice is to use the dmg optional rules for converting aoe sizes into #of targets.
WOOO!!! BLADES IN THE DARK!!!!
Yes. Other RPGs. Top
