Me and my friends have a mock draft competition every year. Day of draft we go out to lunch, make our own mock’s, and award points depending on draft team/position/or even trade
As a Steelers fan I’d really like to see us sign Jaylon Johnson or Lajarius Sneed so we don’t have to draft a corner 1st round but if we do I really hope we get Quinyon Mitchell
Johnson will get tagged if needed. Snead also def a candidate. Jones said he wants a new contract with KC so assuming he stays, they don’t need the tag for anyone else.
For the vikings, we just have to hope we arnt in the same situation as 2012 where we got ponder, we were too desperate for qb and took a qb that needed time to develope, not start from day 1
So rookies are rarely ready to start day 1. Even top picks. Peyton Manning set the NFL record for INTs in a season when he was a rookie. Top 5 QBs tend to start from day 1 because those teams are in developmental mode. They usually don't have realistic playoff and super bowl hopes next year so they play the rookie over the veteran journeyman. Hate to bust your bubble If you have hopes of the Vikings drafting QB5 or QB6 and him leading them to the playoffs
Love this! Appreciate all the hard work you put in for us! Could you see a scenario where Chris Ballard moves back to target a weapon for AR? Or am I delusional and the need for secondary or dline to high to not address it in the first round?
Just my opinion, but MHJ at 4 obviously, if he’s not there then trade down with maybe the Falcons and take best T/WR available. But my philosophy is that Gannon is a defensive minded coach and the cardinals were atrocious on D this year, especially against the run. I think 27 and 35 are both going to be defensive players. We need starters and youth. I think that we target our OL in FA. They didn’t play bad since Kyler took over. that might be Kyler covering up weaknesses but OL we can target down the board or even next year

What up Alex, lions will be making a Super Bowl run next year, they’re going to sign a veteran number one cornerback and Sasser will be number two, I don’t think they’re going to develop a rookie corner now.. defensive line would definitely be the pic in your current drafting scenario. Thanks Alex for all the hard work and effort you put into this appreciate it
I have a hard time seeing McCarthy go in the 1st if he does whichever team picks him will regret it I don’t see the hype at all he’s just going to be Zach Wilson but worse, also you just gained a new subscriber
I don't get the dislike of McCarthy by a lot of people. Yes he didn't "light it up" in the playoffs or for the entire season. Two biggest reasons were the system and the fact that the defense more often than not gave the Wolverines a short field. Its hard to drop 400+ a game when your average starting spot is the 40yd line. All you have to do though is look early in the season when Michigan's run game wasn't putting up its usual "great" numbers. McCarthy was going off for like 300-350yds a game and 3 TDs, also completing 71% of his passes. The numbers dropped as they started to run more and the defenses became a little tougher. He's athletic as hell, mobile, tough as nails and accurate to boot. He also played in a "pro" system so he's probably closer to NFL ready than some of the QBs ahead of him. Compare him to Williams, Maye, Daniels and even Pennix... he didn't have the WRs any of those QBs had. His number one was Roman Wilson who's projected no higher than 3rd round. No Nabers, Odunze, Harrison, Coleman, etc... just Roman Wilson and C. Johnson. His top receiver talent was actually the TE Loveland.
@@HailMarySports I'm hoping he isn't either, but considering the NFL teams desires for QBs every year and especially mobile ones with strong arms it wouldn't shock me. My dream draft (being a Raiders fan) would be to draft either Wiggins/Murphy at #13 and have J.J be there in the second round to snag him. I mean, I consider him a better talent than some of the QBs that have come out of the draft the last few years taken in the top 15, aka Daniel Jones, Trubisky. Everybody has seen some recent head scratchers when it comes to QB drafts.
I like Odunze alot myself but good lord the backlash the Falcons will get for taking a 4th offensive skill guy in the top 10 in a row is going to be ridiculous. The vikings talked about how they were trying to move up and draft Anthony Richardson last year. They picked up Dobbs mid way this year. I think coach KOC wants a very athletic QB. @@HailMarySports I am looking at the spreadsheet list you have in the right of your video. Guess that's not your top 18?
WR or overall? Overall yeah he’s not top 32 on my board but he fits systems better than others and is considered a top 10 lock so I blend that with my board
Do you not listen to the bears? Kevin warren interview? Justin is staying

I honestly don’t see why he’d want to do that
Why does the thumbnail say 3 rounds?
Because he’s doing the next two rounds in the coming days
2 days, 3 rounds I put it in the vid, said it in the vid, and put it in the caption :)
Arizona moved up ;-;
Love the trade back for the bears
