At the end of the day.. it is, what it is. Ik I was loyal and gave my best. There’s no hatred or jealousy. I accepted things for what they are. I’m not God, I cannot change the narrative to make someone reciprocate love (relationship, family, friendship). Ppl are going to do what they want to do, there’s nothing I can do about it. However, the actions those take towards me, I am able to change the narrative by not giving my energy anymore. This would have been HIS family member telling him to not trust me. I loved him totally. He had nothing, but the family was pretentious about their social status. I did not and do not care a fig about status or money, only a person's heart. I have always taken care of myself financially, since I was 18 years old. His family could not conceive of that being true, as they did not see this person's value themselves. They saw me as more attractive and bright than he could possibly win unless I had an ulterior motive. How disgusting and awful is that? They ruined us because they could not accept we really loved each other. It struck a devastating blow to the lives of both of us. I have never again loved anyone like that...after 40 years.
