I suppose all of our ears possibly hear something different. So, it's not that what you're playing is wrong ... but what I hear when you move to the second chord in the verse (dropping from the E min 7 w/the 9 to the A7 w/the 9 & 13) is dropping the D to D-flat and ALSO dropping that F#/G-flat to the E natural. It really sharpens the texture of the chord and sounds (at least to my ears) more in line with the recording. You don't have to move the last note (E natural) when you move from the D min 7 w/9 to the G7 w/9 & 13. (And you are right NOT to do so in the video.) But moving the LAST TWO NOTES in the first chord of the verse ... and, again, dropping from the E min 7 w/the 9 to the A7 w/the 9 & 13 ... seems like the right thing to do.
That's how I've always played this tune.
