Hey I really like your outlines of both sides of the conversation. Lots of good data. I’m fine with the amount of treasures currently. And honestly mostly within the context of commander, where ramping is pretty much the best thing you can do in the early game. But once again, why is green then in second place? I think it’s clear commander is a major factor in the design currently. So I think green should be near the bottom. And blue should be the second most treasures. Especially since blue is so intertwined with artifacts. I agree with the EDHreccast segment that green shouldn’t be needing to ramp in this artifact way.
Thanks very much for the kind words. :) Yeah I think later in that EDHRECcast episode they say it's another instance of 'green getting all the toys' and I sort of agree with that take. Green already has so many ways to ramp and colour fix, it doesn't really need treasure as well.
To answer your last question: I think the new style is fine. Though you were on the screen yourself, you did not save on showing images of graphs and cards whenever necessary. But don't use it on the history documentaries. We are all too used to the old style for those ;P
Thanks :) yeah there are only 2 more videos in that series before we reach the present day, and I will preserve the old style. Finishing that up will be my next project.
Great vid! How does this data hold up against gold tokens? Those are pretty similar I feel. Also do whatever style you feel suites the channel best! I'm here for either or.
Thanks :) I thought about discussing gold tokens as well, but there are a single digit number of them, and I felt it complicated the narrative a bit trying to include them. Interestingly though there was a gold making card printed in Theros: Beyond Death, after the debut of treasures. The First Iroan Games generates one to represent winning a gold medal at the Olympics.
@@macreadymusings UA-cam be like "A video on a Collectible Card Game? Oh, must be Hearthstone!" Best to always put MTGA or MTGO, even if the vids aren't strictly about them, just to be on a safe side.
I prefer a video style like the history docummentaries. I think it´s not too practical to be seeing your face. Instead, you could be showing more stats and pictures of other cards. Thanks!
For the new style, I think it's always nice to put a face to the voice!
This is a great analysis with some great perspectives.
Thanks very much for the kind words, and for giving me your views on treasure for the article. :)
Great video! I had no idea there was so much neat data about treasure tokens :D
(Also, love the puns!)
Thanks Annabel, glad I could unearth all that buried data about treasure. :)

@@macreadymusings I forgot about the iroan games. The only one I remember are the 2017 commander decks lol
So many puns! Great analysis by the way. :)
Why is this video labeled as a Heartshtone video? XD
Haha well spotted, UA-cam did that automatically for no discernible reason. I'll see if I can fix it manually.
