i agree , there was plenty of room height wise , but there is no depth , the bed width is the same as Kenworths 2.4 m cab except behind each seat where the bed narrows 100 mm , a real pain in the butt , there was enough room between the trailer and cab for it to be at least as wide as the 2.8 m king cab Kenworth , i hated this truck with a passion.
@Ryaniscool It's not. I mean it is revised since it's launch but still the same cab. They finally launched the new generation though. Albeit with the same line of Paccar engines.
Didn't know these trucks were rebranded and sold as DEF downunder.
The pronunciation of DAF is close to Dove, you know the soap, right?
hello from uk. that`s quite an impressive setup: 8x4 plus 4 axle trailer. what is the gross weight for it? is there a length limit for set up ike that with one trailer in NZ? didn`t realize european trucks are there at all.
Hi Damian, the XF 530 8x4 has a GVM of 32,300kg and GCM of 70,000kg. A semitrailer rig with a quad axle set and dual steering axles is limited to 18m length.
Never seen a 8x4 tractor. that chassie setup is mostly used for dumptruck or crane. in case of crane many times 8x2 with 3 steering axels.

I know DAF was a Dutch company now American ? but would the right hand drive xfs have been built at DAFs old Leyland facility in Leyland England and not Eindhoven in the Netherlands. These trucks have an unusual build so i am not sure who built these impressive vehicles .
well... daf belongs to paccar (american), but as far I know they`ve got some sort of autonomy. main directors at daf are actual ancestors of two gentelmans who actually started the company. true: rhd are build in uk for british market. don`t know who builds them for markets "down under".
Daf Trucks is still Dutch but de owner is Paccar. Not unusual build! Can be build in the Netherlands, England or Australia!
The cab's and axels are made in belgium and yes the right hand drive models and LF models are produced in the UK.

i left trucking because of this very truck , what a safety hazzard , collision warning going off for no reason , on the sixth time it happened it engaged the braking system to the fullest on a corner in the wet with a light load , a recipe for disaster , this truck was crap , gutless and full of faults , not recommended but each to their own
you probably were not much of a driver then ,that safety lights were flashing constantly.

had no problems with it,very good truck for the 5 years I drove it
@@craighunter3429 this truck i drove was a brand new truck ! brand new DAF 2020 model , not the older version , so you never drove the truck in question , glad to hear you had no issues with your truck ,safe roads
