Working with Goddess Bast we can invoke the strength and inspiration of powerful ancient Egyptian protection spells. This chant and prayer against witchcraft invokes Bast, the Goddess of cats and protection, and was inspired by the Egyptian Book of the Dead, translated by E.A. Wallis Budge.

Bast is a Goddess in Egyptian mythology, also known as Bastet, whose mission was to protect the home. She symbolizes the joy of living as it is considered the deity of harmony and happiness, as represented in this Bast ritual.
She was represented in the form of a domestic cat, or as a woman with the head of a cat, always carrying a sistrum (musical instrument) because she was especially pleased by humans dancing and playing music in her honor.
The cult of Bast was so important that cats were raised in her temples to be her representation, and at the death of these, they were carefully mummified and buried in specific tombs for them.
In her warrior aspect, she was a lioness with green skin and in this aspect she was associated with sunlight. She was a solar goddess until the identification of the Greeks with her lunar goddess Artemis.
The modern worship of Bast is observed not only by Egyptians but by Wiccans, witches, and other Pagans all around the world. One simple way to cast a spell to Bast for protection or love is to make an offering and invoke her Powers, along with chanting this prayer. It could help you as a prayer against witchcraft attacks or simply to receive guidance and intuition before going to sleep.

I printed and laid out 3 different images before my cat and he was automatically drawn to the image of bastet. He placed his paw on the image and looked up at me as if he recognized who was in the picture. It was really cool. 💖 I've decided to prepare an altar in my living room.
I love both of these stories
I showed my cat a picture of Bast that I recreated from a drawing in highschool and he rubbed against it like he knew who that was.
I was telling my partner about Bast yesterday and how she is a protector goddess and he said "she kinda looks like Salem" (my cat lol)

Herodotus writes about her, her temple, and her feast day, but she appears as early as the Pyramid texts, maybe before that. In the early days Bast was the Lion God(dess) of Lower Egypt, and Sekhmet of Upper Egypt. It was only after the kingdoms effectively merged that Bast became a Goddess of domestic cats, while Sekhmet retained her lionhood.
The name “Sebastian” has the name “Bast” encased within it!!! You can always “tweak” things a bit and name him “Se Bastian.”

A few days ago, I replied to a comment that someone made, about a woman "looking like a cat/panther goddess". I told them the name Bastet and wished them a good evening. Hours later, I was window shopping online aimlessly, when I came across a cat purse. I clicked through a few pictures of the product, only to find the same "BASTET" stamped clearly inside. I bought it immediately, and set out to learn about her.

When Greek people first encountered Bastet they immediately identified Bastet with Diana, Queen of Heaven who was later to become known as the Queen of Witches (or Goddess devotees). Bast was always very protective over Her devotees. There is a counter charm for every bad spell in life which comes from others, whether it's malicious envy, jealousy or any other fear-based or illusionary thing.

My cat Chloe who is in this UA-cam profile picture with me, she always sit like Goddess Bastet. Chloe would sit with her back straight and chin high and she looks amazingly beautiful. I miss her so much. She is now in Heaven with Bastet at Rainbow Bridge watching over me. I am very lucky because my cats spirit visits me and I see her beautiful bright blue light and sometimes the light turns into a bigger orb almost the size of a basketball? But most of the time I see her tiny pea sized bright led looking light and I see her interact with my other 2 ragdoll cats. I know that when I die, I will be with her again on the other side! This actually isn't an uncommon element of ancient prayer. Oftentimes in hymns you'll find deities being praised as the greatest mostly to flatter Them. The average person knew that the Gods were all important but when you're engaging with a specific deity in a specific context you want to adore Them as if They really were the greatest. It's meant to more so be an effusive praise rather than a denigration of the other Gods

My cats understood .
Baasta, is awesome, so Is the Goddess Isis, Demeter, Kali, and Innana, many many I know and work with. Some, mothers of many, I know them too like family. It is hard to find time to meet with them all after a while, busy life here, there, then I have to make time when I can. Out of body when sleep etc. They usually like a tap on the shoulder, let me know they need to see me, then I make time etc.

My cat died too, I didn't give as an offering in disrespect but as a vessel for protection, I buried it under a statue of bastet my friend made for me and made a statue seperate of my cat and attached it permanently to bastet statue and gave gold and catnip as an offering, I've seen my cats spirit walk around as a shadow being and I sometimes see them in my dreams as well as have seen a shadow with what looks like pointy ears protect me from a dark angel
Edit: I truly believe my cat is protecting me especially since bastet said "your cat was loyal, I could never see them leave you and so I offer you peace"
@@TheFaustianAlchemist they do protect us. My cat I lost at the end of 2019, was my best friend in the whole universe. I feel her there all the time. I still don’t feel myself without her. I am her and she is me. She is my daughter, my best friend and my heart. It’s surreal without her. As in life, if you think and feel their love, it becomes protective from the other side again. But if your fear and grief takes over, it’s hard for them to get through. I just ask Bastet protect me and if people are using any black magic, I call in Sehkmet, both in her form and Goddess Pratyingira. This is to be used sparingly, when you’re very threatened by another for protection.
This Bastet protection video is a bit more chill in its asking. I don’t feel as protected without my cat, even though I adopted 2 new kittens. I miss the connection and warmth my soulmate cat provided. But I choose to think of the great moments we shared 💕
