Wow, amazing that you have shared your experiences Annie. You are brilliant at explaining what you have been through but also perspective taking and being able to explain things through the viewpoint of the LA. I really found your contributions to the issues around virtual assessments and how these feel to parents. Thank you so much, I have found this webinar so insightful.

This is a good critique of the assessment models used in social work.

yes yes yes to a cup of tea it is such an ice breaker and when it is denied it is a big factor as a first-time mum having a health visitor or midwife visiting when they said no to me it was a guard up and I felt rejected i know it sounds silly but having medical professionals visiting was nerve-racking is my baby healthy and thriving which she was it was just my own insecurity but accepting my cuppa would have gone a long way of ease towards relationship building .wonderful webinar thank you and you for sharing your story I am humbled to hearing your story thank you

This is incredible. As a social work student people say to me 'oh you'll never change the people you support' and it's so untrue. Not only did the social worker support her but Annie worked so hard herself and I appreciate the honestly and everything she's worked towards.

Hi Olivia. You are right - some poeple are very cynical about change. But hope is such an important aspect of social work and if we work with people collaboratively there can be real change for children and their families
