- The family of three women found murdered in their Sobantu home in Pietermaritzburg in June say they’re relieved that justice has been served.
This as Njabulo Ndlovu - convicted of raping and killing them - has been given five life sentences. Last week the 29-year-old confessed to strangling and stabbing 65-year-old Zanele Ndlela and her 48-year-old daughter before raping and strangling her seven-year-old grandchild. eNCA's Manqoba Mchunu has been in court. #DStv403

@@Ladynilow Even your example clearly shows that if a man is killed it's not a big deal because at times they can defend themselves. Only women and children that we must pay more attention when they are killed. I'm saying the killing of anyone must be punished accordingly.

Unfortunately it is the same in many countries around the world - a life sentence should be life, the poor victims have had their lives stolen and their loved ones their lives filled with heartache and awful sorrow.
And the animal is going to be put in a room called jail,fed 3 meals a day for the rest of his life without struggling or worrying how it will get means to feed itself,and that is going to be called punishment,that is not punishment. Criminals will not stop doing crime in SA up until they are punished for their crimes.Death penalty is the only punishment fit for crimes like this,witch are very common in SA....

When someone is found guilty of a crime and is sentenced to death I would like to see the following happen:
The prisoner is placed in a prefab, 10' by 10' cell. The cell is placed on a truck and transported to a site where there is existing plumbing and electric ready to be connected.
The prisoner is allowed one book. They eat two meals a day, in their cells. They are allowed a radio, but no tv. They do not have access to a library, a gym, or any kind of education.
They are allowed no visitors. They do not send or receive mail. To the outside world they cease to exist. The guards do not speak to them.
The next prisoner is brought to the same site and his or her cell is attached to any existing cells.
