Cauípe is Cumbuco's famous lagoon, but what many people don't seem to know is that Cauípe is actually a couple of miles downwind of Cumbuco. You can get there either by kitesurfing downwind or taking a buggy.
The world-famous flat water spot is a great place for freestyle. Many top riders come here every year to train their new tricks. Next to the lagoon are barracas where you can get something to drink or eat.
