Love that you shared the real world we all do as well: mistakes and their consequences. Curious - is there a follow up of 1 year later on how it’s been? I ask as some have reported that work some larger vacs and miter/table saws that have braking/slow start circuits and the use of a vac - that the power levels on a shared circuit may cause tool issues , or the total startup up draw wears out the relay after some months. Is it holding up? Bigger load tools? FYI as you were trying to position where to mount it, I was yelling at the TV: “mount it upside down!” Then the selector button is closer to the front and the cable routing may be easier. 😊
Thanks for the compliments. I always appreciate it. This unit was perfect fir me. It never did anything other than work flawlessly. I sold it with my router table when I got the slider but up until then I used it daily. It was always connected to my big Milwaukee router and largest rigid vac they have. Never a problem. I also used it with my handheld routers and sanders daily. Truly a great tool. For the price, it certainly can’t be beat. The functionality of it is worth so much more for sure. I wish I got it much sooner.
@@InterCity134 just the big routers with soft start. The sanders I’m sure do have soft start but they’re not a lot of draw. The miter saws I have used it with on occasion but not much. For the price, you can’t go wrong. Don’t worry.
Kinda wondering if your soot that you noticed is not burnt sawdust from the vacuum overheating due to the enclosed space. Looks like a fire waiting to happen. You may have resolved this by now. Really enjoying your videos.
The black soot is just the motor getting hot in the space after 18 years of constant use. Amazing when I sold the table, I had switched out the vacs to sell with table and cleaned the original vac to sell by itself. Actually I show this in a later video of my shop remodel series, The original vac still looks and works like new. It’s a great vac. But the space that I had it in had some small 3” holes at the top and the spaces around the door. So it did have room to breath. Thanks for watching my videos. I appreciate it.
The manufacturer had a problem with one of the internal components supplied by a vendor. They have corrected the problem and will stand by their product. They just replaced mine for free even though it was 7 years old. Amazing customer service.

@@InterCity134 and remember you can’t put a big draw tool like a cabinet saw on it. Just 15 amp tools.

Seeing a ton of mixed reviews on the longevity of these... How is yours doing so far?!
Mine is wonderful each and everyday. So I can’t recommend this enough. Seriously. It’s a game changer.
