该剧改编自亦舒经典同名小说。
出身于上海普通人家的95后女孩麦承欢（杨紫 饰），在母亲刘婉玉（何赛飞 饰）的催促下，与男友辛家亮（牛骏峰 饰）议婚。但辛家优渥的经济条件让这段原本平等的感情关系变得失衡，同时，麦母对女儿终身大事的过度插手，加速了麦承欢和辛家亮的分手。在孝顺父母和忠于自我之间，麦承欢艰难求索，她逐步从母亲强势的关爱中挣脱，在 工作上更专心进取。麦承欢的蜕变得到了继祖母的认可，把自己最看重的酒店经营重任托付给她。继祖母的亲孙、职业酒店经理人姚志明（许凯 饰）在与麦承欢的合作中逐渐对她理解并认同，俩人成为工作伙伴，携手并进。而在生活中，姚志明被麦家烟火气之下的真情包围，与麦承欢的感情逐渐升温。从“承欢膝下”到“成就自我”，麦承欢走出了一条独属于自己的不平凡的成长之路。
►Synopsis:
Mai Chenghuan, who comes from an ordinary family in Shanghai, was urged by her mother, Mrs. Liu, to discuss marriage with her boyfriend Xin Jialiang. However, the favorable economic conditions of the Xin family made this originally equal relationship unbalanced. At the same time, Mrs. Liu’s excessive interference in her daughter's lifelong affairs accelerated the breakup between Mai Chenghuan and Xin Jialiang. Torn between filial piety to her parents and loyalty to herself, Mai Chenghuan struggled to find a way out. She gradually broke free from her mother's strong love and focused more on her work. At last the SECRET IS OUT to Chenghuan’s mother. So cute and her meddling is hilarious this time. Zhiming’s father is up to scheming and tricks through the brainchild of another cunning and scheming woman Zhao Peisheng - Ziyu’s mother. She bribed Zhiming’s father to stir another trouble for Chenghuan. Chengzao is going to have a head to head argument in regards with Mao’s child againts his former evil, wicked former Boss, Mr. Lou, the defense attorney of Mao’s husband in the custody case. LIFE GOES ON and I do look forward to watching the next episode.
Yao Zhiming/Xu Kai and Mai Chenghuan/Yang Zi’s tandem is perfect and they do have an excellent connection, especially when they are on the screen together--it is so lit 🔥. What a good tandem to behold.

I love these Chinese dragon mothers! Despite her interfering tendencies, Mama is still accepted as she is by her daughter. I maybe mishearing it, but It's endearing that Mama sometimes utters a few words in Shanghainese when she's annoyed or angry.

This only puts spotlight on their lack of knowledge to the fact how big hotels - Five stars - maintains its standard and strict rules for its employees.
