It was actually a 4 billion dollar suit but yeah it cost Hewliett Packard alot of money in legal fees as they lost the case .... also his co-defendent in this case was killed in a "accident" as he was cycling on his bike, oh by the way that incident was 2 DAYS before this one... case closed your honour

For those who may not know, Mike Lynch came from modest background, and grew up in Ilford, East London and later, Chelmsford, in the county of Essex. He worked his way up. I don't actually think he should have sold his company, but rather brought in a wider management team with international experience. For anyone lazily saying he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, they could not be more misinformed.
I work for one of his companies that he founded. He has left a great legacy

This is so sad.
So very expensive private school education from age 7 to 12 years for Primary school, and then from age 13 to 18 years for Secondary school for one of Mike Lynch's daughter, Ms. Hannah Lynch, in order to achieve her Cambridge A Level certificate, which is not even a work-ready Polytechnic Diploma or yet an University Bachelor Degree. Real pity! It costs an incredible £25,000 per year attending the prestigious Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith afforded by her deceased father. That's a grand total of £150,000 (USD$200,000) assuming over a 6-year continuous period for her Secondary schooling years, bypassing the O Level exams at aged 16. Most foreigners from 3rd world countries pay almost that amount in tuition fees alone just to obtain study visas to get to the UK for a basic 3-year liberal arts Bachelor Degree or a Business Degree to top up their Diplomas or Cambridge-syndicated foreign A Level certs. That begs the question how worthwhile is it for the rich and wealthy in UK and USA to afford prestigious private schooling for their children, putting immense pressure on their mental well-being and "window-dressing" them in order for them to obtain good grades for exams, yet that result in achieving only "unprofessional, non-work ready" qualifications at the adolescent age of 18 or 19 years compared to their less academically-inclined peers who offer to bypass the A Level route to opt for a more skills-based, professional Diploma which enable their skill-sets to be much desired, and thus more attractive to employers at a younger age than University graduates.
Yeah lots of empathy in this message.
A lot of these private schools teach networking mostly. Students can learn any of these subjects in other unis and primary schools but they cant interact with others of the privileged class outside of these schools. You meet other children of rich entrepreneurs who can set you up with career interviews later. Obviously, the children are innocent but the parents push this and enroll their students in these schools for their own and their childrens personal benefit.
@@Sevenfold120 Now I understand more clearly. I get the logic. Thanks for opening up my narrow-minded thinking.
That much money for a “liberal arts degree” 😂
@@Steve-xm3mv No they get actual degrees, business mostly some law degrees.
