  • Replaced the starter so I am testing the compression on both cylinders for the 787 rebuild.

    Did you hone the Cylinders or was the piston rings mated to that cylinder already? Was curious

      I honed them but didn't bore them. I think the cylinders and pistons were from the engine with water in the case. The crank was trashed but the top end was fine.

      @IdiotInAGarageCNY , thanks, I just did that, why I asked, I'm waiting on a starter to check how it went, gave me hope. Bore and pistons and rings look great, just they left plugs out and it say for awhile and had some surface rust on the cylinder walls, very mild, only took like 5 to 6, up and downs on the cylinder. Crank is good, no rust or nothing. Cleaned raves, was nasty, 1st time for me, 787, engine

      @@ryanjohnson1814 good luck, the compression test will tell you a lot once your starter is in. I still haven't tried using this engine yet
