You look confuse at the end there :)) So this song is base on a tradition type of art called "Cải lương". Back in the day, there're bands that travel around the country and performing "Cải lương" for local people. In the west of south Vietnam, they travel by boat and use it as their home, their base. The best place to perform is at the richest house in the region, usually that's the landlord whom pay them the most. So in the MV, the lead female was falling for the lead male of the band. But then that guy felt for the daughter of the landlord instead. Those 2 was in love but the landlord wanted his daughter to marry a French officer instead, his daughter resist so he lock her up. Selfless love, the lead female switch place with the landlord daughter so she can be with the man. The rest is tragic for everyone....
