Girl if no one has told you this before … you are a lifesaver! You make me look forward to creating assignments for my kiddos because you give me new ways of doing things! I appreciate you 🙏🏻
What a creative video, Michelle! I loved seeing how easily you can make headers in Canva with seemingly unlimited options. I also enjoyed the Teaching to the Top podcast yesterday. My favorite part was when you and Bridget listed your "Mount Rushmore" items in your home offices. I truly look forward to each new podcast and video as they give me motivation and inspiration to finish out the work week strong! Thanks for being awesome! Enjoy your weekend! 💜
You are so right... the options are basically unlimited! I'm so happy you enjoyed the podcast episode that went up this past week! Mount Rushmore lists are my absolute favorite for almost everything 🥰 I'm so happy you always enjoy the videos and podcasts and we are so thankful to have you following along every step of the way! 🖤 I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and week ahead!
Guess who will be redesigning all of her GC headers this weekend? You seriously make the BEST tutorial videos! I’m definitely going to be dipping my toes into the canva pool now! You are truly an inspiration! Thank you for all that you do!
Aww, thank you so much as always! Also, I'm SO happy that you're finally dipping your toes in (be careful though... the tide might sweep you away because it's addicting for SURE). Thank you as always for taking the time to watch, comment with feedback, and share such kind and sweet words! 🥰🖤 Have a great rest of your weekend and week ahead!
I just followed along and created the cutest header with the gif! Thank you so much. This will be a very nice touch to google classroom and forms this school year!
I've been binge watching your old videos recently, and it's been very therapeutic for me. Thank you ❤ I taught 4th last year (5 preps daily, no aide, IEPs, ect.), quit and work from home this year (and LOVE it), but miss the kids like crazy. A part of me will always miss teaching. Before this, I taught middle school ELA. I empathize with so many of the struggles and emotions you had in your videos. Seems like teachers are asked to take on more and more every year, and I hope that changes!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch... even my old videos! Yes, teachers certainly do have plates that are constantly being filled with more and more responsibilities and expectations. But, I hope you can find the role that is best suited for you! There are always pros and cons but you have to do what's best for you!
@@4TheGoldenLife I work in customs brokerage. Had to take a paycut to start, trained at entry level, took some community ed classes in Microsoft (you can probably study free online too). But after a promotion and raises, I have a decent income with benefits. But spending my evenings and weekends how I want with friends and family is everything!
Hi Michelle! This video immediately inspired me to create my own header. Thanks to your detailed explanation, everything worked seamlessly. However, when I uploaded it into Google Classroom, there was a gray overlay on it. Now all my bright colors and cute designs are hiding behind that smokey cloud! There was also overlapping text on the header since Google Classroom also requires a class title, but I managed to fix that by replacing my mandatory title with a period. Any chance you have a workaround for the overlay? Thank you so much!
Woohoo! I'm so happy I could inspire you to make your own header! The gray overlay is a feature of Google Classroom that unfortunately can't be altered (at least at this time). I keep hoping it's something Google will fix in the future!
Hi I love your videos. They have helped me so much in many ways. Does this work for Google slides. If so can you share please. Always appreciated you going above and beyond. Thanks
Hi there! Thank you so much for your kind words... I'm so happy my videos have helped you! You can definitely create the header image in Google Slides but you wouldn't have access to the same graphics as you do in Canva. Also, you wouldn't be able to export the Google Slides file as a GIF... but you could export each slide as an image and then use another website or program to create a GIF by combining the images. Personally, I think it's easier to just use Canva.
The timing is usually displayed at the top when you create a new slide... I'll be honest and say that I struggle to get it to reappear after I've started editing the slide sometimes. I've yet to find a great solution other than duplicating the slide to get it to reappear.
Hi there. I created my custom header, but when I tried to upload it, it wouldn't. It was telling me that I should upload it in PNG, JPG, etc. but I was, and I tried several times. Could you please advise what I should do from here. Thank you.

Hello! What work do you do from home now? Is the salary similar to your teaching salary?

Michelle,
Just curious. How did you grow that niche for tech even tech used for educational ?
Keep up the good work.

I've always been pretty good with tech! Thanks for watching and commenting Dwight! 🥰
Is there a special toolbar for the timing?
The timing is usually displayed at the top when you create a new slide... I'll be honest and say that I struggle to get it to reappear after I've started editing the slide sometimes. I've yet to find a great solution other than duplicating the slide to get it to reappear.

Hi Katrina! Take a look at the file and tell me what the file type is... does it end in .gif, .png, or something else?
@@PocketfulofPrimary png
Can you do this for google keep??
YES! I just tested it and you can upload an animated GIF on Google Keep as well! 🎉
@@PocketfulofPrimary Thank you!!! This changes a lot!!!
Thank you Michelle. You inspire me so much.
Thank YOU so much for watching Isabelle! 🥰
How do you get rid of the dark shadow on your Google Classroom banner?:
My school does not allow our students to have email addresses. Is there any way to use Google Classroom without them?
Not really... if order for your students to be enrolled in your class, you would need them to have Google accounts.
Whenever I save as a gif it just saves as a bunch of pages. What am I doing wrong?
How can homeschooling parents have canva pro for free?
I'm not sure... you'd have to reach out to Canva to see!
