sekita's set for ran's pipe is always so flawless. never seen the two of them miss and it makes me clap my hands in awe EVERY time
Cuba's blocks are insane but Japan is really stable

Ran's body control in the air is amazing.
The fake under was numbing!
Yamauchi and Onodera were beasts in this game. Sekita using them very well.
Sekita is amazing. God didn't give him height, but sure gave him accuracy and brain. He literally ran the offense and his defense is also amazing. 2 in one. Setter and Libero all the same time.
I must admit, Cuba’s blocking is so nice, but Japan is so so much wiser.
it’s really telling that Japan they work as a unit, Cuba wasn’t so strong in that.
They are just tall lol, thats why they can block easily
Cuba's blocking is solely planned for Nishida... Once Sekita got a hold of it, he leaned more on back attacks and fast middle plays.. Such high IQ setter
The head to head is 10 (Cuba) to 1 (Japan). Back in the day it was tough for Japan to beat Cuba and other European and Latin American teams. Japan has come a long way....Gambatte Nippon. Best wishes from Malaysia 🇲🇾

I love Nishida and Ran playing even they face sometimes struggles, but Sekita Yamauchi Onedera Ishikawa are really experienced, they again and again show a stably amazing game.

I gotta admire Ran Takahashi's composure here in this match even if the team seems to be crumbling at some point he manages to sneak in points that leads to a good momentum. I also hope Yuji will bounce back after his shaky showing here, nonetheless, he still did great! Congratulations Japan (RJN) 🇯🇵🎉

@@user-iu1ru1qz7u @user-iu1ru1qz7u I don't know if it's just me but I watched the whole match via VBTV app, it wasn't their usual showing with their reception and offense. This highlight shows the goodness of their plays but at some point of this game they have been crumbling. Cuba has 30 Errors that contributes a lot to Japan's momentum. Japan MVT is really good and I'm one of their biggest fan. I guess the exhaustion is taking a toll on the bodies since this set of players have been playing since Week 1. But gotta admire their teamwork and team spirit. They still won, so i'm still happy for them.
@@user-iu1ru1qz7ubruh you obviously didn't watch the full match or even the stats. Japan won 3:0 mainly because Cuba's errors. Japan was struggling with reception for a bit and hitters getting blocked are exactly when the team was crumbling
5thbasicneed fair, that's how Cuba loses all their matches, they make too many stupid errors and their setter sucks.
Their offense is possibly the best in the tournament, they should not be losing to Japan.
Low-key see lots of potential within Cuba, they don't need stars to perform, but rather a good visit to the basics and they will evolve
I hope they will capitalize on Miyaura too. Nishida has been blocked easily lately

Congratulations again to the wonderful Ryujin Nippon for winning 3-0 against the amazing Cuba MVT. Ran with 14 pts., Yuji with 9 pts., Yamauchi with 9pts, Onodera with 8pts.It's not their usual solid performance but they still manage to win. I hope they will check Yuki's elbow, it's worrisome since he obtained an elbow injury. Yuji Nishida struggle to the great blocking system of Cuba but still his great game mentality thrives until the end. Good game for Japan and Cuba. Brazil will be a very big challenge for Japan. Congrats again RJN! ❤️☺️

@@mgasarines905 Yes, Japan MVT will be facing Brazil MVT tomorrow. It's very exciting and interesting. I hope RJN can take a good rest after their match versus Cuba. They will be needing lots of energy and impact versus Brazil since Brazil is proven to be dominating and strong at games. In addition, I just want Japan to enjoy and play happily 'cause we admire them for their passion, dedication and discipline.Hoping for an injury-free match tomorrow.

@@chichi2865 I think he got his elbow injured pre-VNL 2023 or prior to the start of the VNL Week 1 stint at Nagoya. Didn't know the specific reason. However, Coach Blain did call up Tomita for some sessions before while Ishikawa is still enduring and recovering from his injured elbow with the Team and he chose him because he is also dependable and has great receiving skills as well. Furthermore, I hope they will still check on Yuki's elbow as it seems to be bothering him earlier in the game.
