This reading brought me to tears… My brother is a cancer rising. He has been madly in love with his wife for over 30 years. She had a devastating stroke last year and her recovery is slow and she’s not the same person she used to be. It is so hard to mourn someone who is lost but is still physically present every day in your life and every night in your bed.
My sister is also a cancer rising and she lost her husband of 45 years in December 20 22. Her mourning has been unbelievably difficult. She is still caught up in the waves of grief and sometimes, mystical belief that he will return. I get it, grief does strange things to our minds.
Both my siblings married their childhood sweethearts and don’t have a full identity without their significant other. I’m sure it literally feels like losing a piece of oneself.
