Clayton Home Builders does not stand behind these homes once on your land site. These people have been a nightmare to deal with from the moment my home order was placed .
Prices will very from area to area. Even in the same area it may very from dealer to dealer. It may depend as you said on appliances and upgrades. It helps to shop around and not just jump on the first thing you see.

I can understand your concern, but I bought one and it's been great and they have stood behind their work. I'm sorry you had an unsatisfactory result.
The price is about 180k in our area. Same layout. But it did have a few things different like a bit nicer appliances.
