  • In this video we set out for a 3-day river trip for my good buddy's bachelor party he planned for himself. Along for the ride are some family members, the entire band from the first song, and a couple friends. Unfortunately we got a late start and didn't put in until 4:30pm. More "problems" arose when the planned camp spot was already taken. We set off into the night until we crash landed at another known site. The wall we set our tents next to radiated heat off of it all night long which was super nice. Woke up to a great view and started day 2. More debauchery ensued with a mild canoe flip but somehow Justin and I kept it upright... Probably the 700lbs we had in the bottom but that's another story. Night 2 was pretty casual except cow patties everywhere. In the morning 2 members set off early and we started messing around more as we all knew the trip was winding down. Hope you enjoyed this as I'm pretty sure I'll be making more similar in the future. Thanks for watching!

    My Tires:
    amzn.to/3h7cZ25
    I love these tires. The only others I'd take are the BFG KO2 but they don't make them in this size and the KM2's are amazing. You can probably imagine the amount of driving I do weekly and how much abuse my tires get. These things last, everyone knows this, you've seen it in my videos.
    My Tire Deflators:
    amzn.to/3o5O9RT
    These tire deflators have many $15 copies but the others just don't hold up or are inaccurate. I don't know what the deal is, they look identical to me too but read the reviews- they're bad. I've been using these Staun's for over a year and never had a problem, I air down a lot. Set them at the trail so your tires will be the same temp when you get to the trail next time.
    My Compressor:
    amzn.to/3epo9xB
    There are better ones but I'd just get a bigger VIAIR, not something different. Airs up all my 33's from 14psi to 37psi in less than 10 minutes.
    My Microphone:
    amzn.to/33iLw5w
    My microphone is the worst good mic you can get. BUT don't be fooled, it's a very good mic. Picture me getting in my car for the 50th time after I just ran up and down a hill... for the 50th time. Do you see me disconnecting my mic and gingerly setting it in a case? No. It stays connected to the tripod, gets thrown into my plastic cargo area and bounces around with other heavy items until the next one. It gets terrible interference from WiFi so you must make sure that it's off on your camera or phone. If you are trying to use this with your phone you need to get a TRS to TRRS cable which RODE makes. This is required because your phone will think the mic is headphones.
    My Tripod:
    amzn.to/3erbA4G
    I went through 2 tripods in 1 month, a $20 and a $30. Buy it nice or buy it thrice. This thing gets opened and closed MANY times per week in rain, snow, dirt, and even in the middle of rivers. I love the 2-stage legs so i can make it real low in 2sec instead of shortening all the legs.
    My Drone:
    amzn.to/3epqIQ9
    You can tell how easy it was to progress through my videos. Besides maybe five times, you've seen every bit of flying since I got it. I don't fly in the city and I don't go to the mountains and not make a video. It is VERY easy to use.

    Hell yeah man !!! This had been on my river trip list for a while. Finally did some Rio Grande and a couple Texas Rivers this past paddle season. Hoping to cross this one off this season. Hitting up some offroading tomorrow doing a Canon City trip: The Banks, Red Canyon and Seep Springs.

    Very chill way to start my morning. Nicely done - I half expected you to be running up and down the shoreline setting up the tripod, or trying to hold a canoe paddle while you maneuvered the drone.

    • @BRollOffroad
      @BRollOffroad  2 роки тому

      the drone could’ve came but i was too scared and we definitely overpacked… the shoreline usually wasn’t good for getting in and out anywhere but the campsite entrances either. i learned a lot about trying to film this way, there will be a lot of differences on the next one. i also should’ve boat-hopped more and got everyone in it more.

    First car shown, SWEET Great Falls Green VW Alltrack Great car, relatively rare color, hope its a 6speed manual, like mine!

      man good eye! it IS a sweet car, Rod’s already told me some stories about it haha. 90% sure it’s manual but i’ll have to check next time…

      @@BRollOffroad the "unicorn" is 6 speed manual, Marakesh(brown) interior, panoramic sunroof and heated seats; in that color, great falls green.
      I bought the almost unicorn only missing the brown interior. B2B fab makes a camber correction lift kit for the Alltracks which someday Ill get.
      Stock, you(he) can run 27 inch all terrains(215-65-16 general grabbers is what i run) If he is into that kindof thing.

    I'm curious about your route - isn't Escalante in UT, and Whitewater in CO? Wouldn't the mean you're heading east, but water should be flowing west since it's west of the continental divide, or where is it flowing there? I'm still new-ish to the west so I'm probably misunderstanding. Awesome vid btw.

    • @BRollOffroad
      @BRollOffroad  2 роки тому +1

      Escalante is a canyon in CO and Whitewater is a town. i guess town-to-town would be like Delta to Whitewater but my buddy assured me the route is known as Escalante to Whitewater, i was a little confused myself. even more so since we seemed to only travel north 😂 looking at a map it’s definitely NW but seemed like a lot of north haha.

      i had car problems, then i moved to Ridgway which was 5 trips back and forth in October, then most of the trails are shut down and i’ve had 6 problems with my car since i moved here 😂 hoping to hear today about a money/time estimate for this round of repair but when i get it back it’s Moab the next day haha. appreciate the check in!
