Unfortunately it’s head actually looked normal until humans decided to ruin it for the “aesthetics” or at least that’s what I think happened. I could be wrong tho.

@@aladin_run5404eah pugs got genetically messed up by humans but their flat-face isn’t the main cause to their respiratory problems, I remember watching a video that claimed apparently pugs have breathing issues and literally can’t breathe sometimes because of their nostril size.
Not sure if a big or small pair of nostrils makes it harder for them to breathe or not so take that with a grain of salt. Though a good thing is some ethical dog breeders who actually care about the animal they’re breeding have made pugs healthier by making a new breed of dog. The retro-pug! So that’s nice at least.
And the mentality of this comment is why breeds get ruined. Yeah let's breed for cuteness and make it breathe funny also let's make it physically unhealthy. Let's also put breeders in jail that chain their dogs up who spend thousands of dollars on their care and maintain their yard because we think they are dog fighting... R.I.P to the real Bull terrier
@@ljv2094 I agree with you, but are you serious? It's face is not that bad, us humans have done way more evil. Look at an English bulldog, then you will get me. And plus, we need breeders, if we don't, not many people will be able to have a dog.

@@nineblackgoats It’s best to be patient with this breed. As they can make wonderful companion dogs when raised well. But I’m more of a hobbyist than a expert on the breed.

I once saw a small and chubby bull terrier carrying 3 meter long branch in his mouth. It was both one of the funniest and one of the most impressive things I saw in my life.

I so miss having our Bull Terrier around.
I used to be unappreciative of then and thought they were ugly... but after having one in the family and living with him I fell so hard and had such a bond with him
Great breed. And I love dogs but given a choice I'd get this breed.
Hands down.
Beautiful loving goofballs of fun. Great to chill with after they burn off their energy.
Out of all the dogs I've known this one made me laugh out loud the most. They are very smart, and very sweet. I could go on but our dog was called Biggie, and he had a triangle patch over one eye and a love heart pigmentation on his nose.

Mine was best dog ever, loving funny and friendly, but a watch dog he wasn't. He would have happily let anyone in whilst wagging his tail. He lived with cats, kids and rabbits who he got on with really well

@@bobhill3941 I'm a dog walker/pet sitter and I LOVE my bullies, I have several as regulars. I used to have a Spuds McKenzie T-shirt I remember getting my school picture in elementary school wearing it.

I've always thought these dogs looked like they all came out of dog fighting rings every time I see them. Their faces look like the horribly scarred faces of dogs that have been rescued from dog fighting. Small eyes, flat and featureless faces, ears that look cropped.
Hearing that that is what they were originally bred for, now their appearance makes sense.
Their faces are far from featureless. They can show many emotions to the trained eye. Just search for smiling bullterrier for example. They can be very expressive.

I love this breed. I’ve owned 3 of them. Best dogs I’ve ever had. They have a great temperament.
I miss mine so much. If I ever get another, I’m going to contact a local Bull Terrier Society and get one in need of a home. I have to be very careful, but I know how to train them properly.

@@chadeazyyeah but both bull terriers and pit bulls can make amazing family dogs from what I heard, just don’t be a horrible pet owner and actually train and socialize them. Sorry if I came off as rude lol
@@soontobechannel743Pitbulls actually very patient with kids and, unlike most terrier breeds, they get along surprisingly well with cats and other smaller pets. Bull terriers can be great family dogs, as long as they are properly trained and get enough exercise. They're also prone to hallucinations, especially as they age, but those generally don't make them agressive.
I grew up with alot of fighting dog breeds and all I could say is they are all soft cuddly meatheads
