I know this video has been up for the past two weeks, but YT Algorithm gifted me this video only today. Thanks for the explanation of hoe ZD's ability resolves and how it has to be completely resolved before resolving other triggers. I went with ZD's loss of life, plus other Landfall effects for a wincon since our meta is slower and allows for these kind of slower wins.
Something else about Ley Weaver and Maze of Ith, Ley can search out the third piece of the combo, Lore Weaver(or the other way around) Generate infinite mana during combat and use Lore Weaver to force your opponents to draw out their decks. With land tutors like Crop Rotation, getting maze out is also pretty easy to fall into the win.
That's a great point. I haven't ever considered Lore Weaver because "5UU" to draw two cards is pretty sluggish. But in a deck that's streamlined around this specific combo they're certainly worth a deck slot.
Awesome overview. Glad to see someone else using concordant crossroads as the wincon. In my testing so far it's the only one necessary; if somehow it got exiled or you don't run Bala Ged Recovery AND it's in your graveyard, then you just go off at the end of your last opponents' turn. I'd rather the deck be a turn slower 1 in 100 games than have an otherwise dead card like Oracle or lab man taking up a draw step or even a deck slot. I like your list too. I like the extra untap land subtheme you've got going on. I think the only recommendations I might have are to add ghost town and guildless commons; I see that you run a lot more tutors than I do, but these only take up land slots rather than spell slots so it's easier to fit the redundant pieces and still fit many tutors (as opposed to trying to squeeze in Bloodghast/Thornbite Staff etc).
Thanks for the support Jesse! That makes sense: if we're drawing our entire deck when we go off we may not need redundant win conditions. My only fear is that "Crossroads" etc. might be exiled somehow - my buddy is running "Tasha's Hideous Laughter" more and more frequently these days!! And great call with Ghost Town / Guildless Commons. I try to be thorough, but will inevitable miss *something* in every upload. Just earlier today, I was watching another Z+D video that went into lines with Bloodghast, Thornbite, etc. There are *even more* combos for this commander, who'da thought!?

Glad that the algorithm brought you here! Hope you'll stick around for more.

Great content man!
I love this card. I'm curios what it can do in a draft deck
Good video
Is it possible to tune this down but still win by combo? My playgroup allows combos but don't like decks popping off very quickly
