Just as compareision, I played the game since release for around 1400 hours and I just unlocked only 193 mastery points. And finished the skyscale today. There is a huge different between a casual gamer like me and a veteran like Teapot who actually knows what he is doing.
I wouldnt normally watch someone progressing an MMO account like this but since you made it so fun and informative, I was hooked! Looking forward to seeing Frugal Fighter in full legi one day.
I rarely comment on videos, but I want to express my thanks. Most tutorials I've seen have been rather long winded, not really explaining the parts I want to know, or assumed knowledge I don't have. But this series have been mostly easy to follow, teaching me stuff that is relevant and having enough fluff that it's been enjoyable. Not to mention memorable enough that I remembered things to do when I got to interact with it(put a personal limit on myself to not do things out of story order ish). Story vise I'll without a doubt will be done this week and have my free legendary, and my time will have absolutely been more enjoyable in the game due to this series.
I think a lot of folks in the middle category of experience - those who have done the wings a couple times or generally know the fight but don't have massive KP to join the groups with lots of requirements - often join training groups since it's a good way to get KP without any requirements.
probably lots of people who have done it with a few friends or say joined when more experienced guild mates ran it. so are there to just get more experience running it on their own. also probably some more experienced people who may be testing some slight adjustments to their setup and so know its bit more casual so if their new setup doesnt quite end up being the best its not end of the world.
I just want to say thank you so much for this series, I have tried many times to get into GW2 but always found myself overwhelmed and lost to the point where I'd just quit. I've been playing for about a month straight now and absolutely in love with this game thanks to you. I've just gotten my first ascended piece and working on finishing the LWS4 story (saved up all my gold to buy it without spending IRL money!) so I can begin my skyscale grind. Thanks so much mate!
Yesturday just before the video came out I beat my first raid bosses. W1 full cleared in a very low experienced group. I commanded it even if it was bad. Some people gave me pieces of advice. And we manadge almost easily. Just by playing a good build and knowin mechanics
Finale? Listen yourself speaking in the intro of the episode: you also need to unlock 3 Legendary armor sets, 6 trinkets, 7 runes, 8 sigils and at least 17 weapons (for axes double-wielding)
I got lucky and joined a guild recently once a week we pay 1 gold and 50 silver. We do 1 to 3 raid areas a day they helped me make my mechanist easier to use. I am a untamed main but i use mechanist so we got high dps. Luckily if i make mistakes they dont kick me so raiding is going well now. I just made my first set of raid armor and working on my last leggie ring. We made me a full set leggie armor in a few weeks.
I'm just playing GW2 for less of a year after a break of ten years, and even before I only played my main up to lvl73. Haha, I got distracted by everything so often and found things sometimes so confusing. Your series is on point and showed me "where the rabbit is heading" (a German phrase). During the hid and seek phase I intensionally turned off NPC names to really play hid and seek. The skyskale not just pings on the mini map, it also does the skyscale noices once in a while to make itself noticed (at the same moment when it does the noices it pings). In strong contrast probably to the majority of players I found most of the collections nicely made. Sometimes a little tidious, but I even enjoyed the skale and egg collection xD Thanks for your Zero To Hero series and all the helpfull tips!!
I've done cannons as quickness, but as power quickness, I can easily burst down the cannon and return relatively fast, at most 3 - 4 seconds of no quickness.
I think I am up to date, having watched every episode since episode 1 within a day or two of the video releasing. A really good idea for a series and a fun execution. ^_^
for Ascended armor, do we just have to grind the IBS strikes ? or is there an easier way ? What about groupfinding, most people tend to do the stuff only once. What do i have to write for them to start rerunning ? xD
IBS strikes are a very convenient way to go about it because they are just super efficient in general for gearing up! However pretty much all content is actually very solid for gearing up! PvP, WvW give tokens by simply playing that can be used to buy gear. Fractals are a god level gold farm and also shower you in ascended Raids are probably the fastest way to get ascended gear, and can be done in exotics. You can also just farm gold and craft ascended gear!
Lol im at 255 mastery at 3344h on my main ranger rip also about to make the legendary shortbow from HoT problem i have is getting the exp for Nuoch Lore 4/6 and the points that i need only got 6
On your intro to zero to hero you promised to show legendary gear and mounts. You finished mounts but I'm not seeing the promised legendary gear... I hope your response is 'challenge accepted' I love this series and it shouldn't die here
I love how salty chat seems sometimes when you get good luck with groups. It amazes me how the majority of the gw2 community is great then you have the toxic assholes in every sector of the game. 🤦
