Turn off the "boost" mode in the game optimizer menu. Its only an effect with that active. Boost only lowers input lag by ~3ms at 60hz and does nothing at 120hz so its not important anyway.
Do a full Pixel Refresh. Press the Settings button on your remote to open the menu. Go to "All Settings" from the sidebar. Navigate to "Support" and then select "OLED Panel Care" (the exact name may vary). Choose "Pixel Cleaning" or "Pixel Refresher" depending on your model. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the process.
My g4 sometimes plays hdr movies in sdr and looks extremely dark . I thought it was the movie itself but sometimes it plays those same movies back in hdr just fine.
@ I haven’t noticed it happening lately. It should be something that’s fixed in an update. If they ever come out with a new nvidia shield I’m going to get one though. Plex on the g4 will not play some old 480p content and will only play a very specific version of Dolby vision. Plus no lossless Dolby atmos.
Do a refresh, like the other guy said it won't hurt it. Or reach out to Classy Tech Calibrations, he might advise you if it's a problem that is inherent or not.
@@Quik_Sand_TV I noticed the same issue on G4 menus with PS5 HDMI input. It seems to only happen when “Prevent Input Delay (Input Lag)” (in Game Optimizer) is set to Boost. If it bothers you too much, you can change that option to Standard to make the issue go away.
I just got a 55” G4 and I’m experiencing a issue with the screen while on OTA tv signal running 1080i or 720p. The screen has vertical lines going across the entire screen. I even connected the ps5 and you can still see the lines. I’m currently using the hdmi cable the ps5 came with. I tried swapping hdmi ports and the lines are still there, I even tried removing all the enhanced picture settings to OFF or enable but still see the lines. Any tips or ideas? Regarding your issue with the menu pixels flashing, at least my g4 isn’t showing that problem.
I have a 77" G4, just checked it with HDR10 content, but not with VRR or 120hz content. Turned on Game Optimizer mode and Boost mode, did not see any flickering in any of the TV menus.
Bro, just do the full deep pixel refresh. It won’t hurt it. If that doesn’t fix it, bring it back and replace it. Dumb, I know, but worth it. If it happens again, you know it’s not worth it.

Boost mode makes my tv freak out when turning on my ps5 I was about to return the console

Hello,
Those white pixels that are showing. Will they get worse over time?
Do you have a nearby showroom where you can view another sample of this TV to see if it has the same issue?

Mine does the same very annoying. When I restart the movie it plays fine in hdr maybe a hdr bug??

Good recommendations! Thank you.
This has nothing to do with hardware. It’s a aliasing artifact that shows up with Menus due to refresh rate.
Thank you for the comment and intel. Any recommendations to get that to go away?
@@Quik_Sand_TV U can try disabling game mode or limiting FPS to 60 and see if that goes away. If it does firmware update could fix it in the future.

Holy snap! My C4 does this in the same exact area, in hdr game mode! It runs down the whole menu, is it defective or a bug?

Thanks for the input! Considering some things like that.
Turn off boost mode on all hdmi ports it was giving me weird issues and it doesn’t help that much
Where is that setting
It’s the whole row from top of the menu to bottom
It does seem that way, especially as I scroll down or up menus.
@@Quik_Sand_TVmy new c4 does this same exact thing in the same spot, did you find out what it is?
I do have the exact same problem with my g4 65 inches. Very annoying. Happens when input lag boost turned on
Yes it's defective. Call customer support for a new TV.
I just noticed my C4 does this in the exact spot in hdr game mode. I believe it’s a bug.
