- The todays scenic drive continues and starts at the Lago di Resia (Reschensee) in Italy and ends in Davos Switzerland. Leaving the Submerged Church in the Lago di Resia (Reschensee), we cross the Italian Austrian border 8 minutes later and continue to Nauders (Austria) where we turn left to cross the Norbertshöhe Mountain Pass and shortly afterwards the Austrian Swiss border in Martina Switzerland. From Martina, we continue driving towards Scuol and then Susch where we turn right and ascend to cross the Flüelapass (Flüela Mountain Pass) before we descend towards Davos Switzerland. Memories are always tinged with regret. I remember covering this journey in an old Hillman Husky in the 60s'. My future wife and I, hardly any money, just hoping to pick up work wherever we stopped. As we look back they were the happiest of times. No cares or worries, just hopes for the future.

Thanks for the wonderful memories! I took the bus from Italy to Switzerland twice, on this road. At 24:54, is where the bus connection is, getting off the grey/orange Italian bus to hop on the yellow Swiss Post bus. I stayed in Scuol for 4 days, using it as a base to explore the Lower Engadine, which is simply gorgeous! Visited Ftan, Ardez, Bos-cha, Guarda, Tarasp, Sent and hiked from V'na to Hof Zuort and then down to Val Sinestra. Amazing little villages!! Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful video, especially now that I can't visit due to these turbulent times.

Sorry, mein Trip durch das Unterengadin war im Jahr 1989; da wimmelte es nur so an Baustellen und Ampeln. Mein Auto war kurz vor St. Moritz derart verdreckt, dass ich ohne Wäsche nicht weitergefaheren wäre. ...und ab da war der Urlaub ganz toll.............!!!!
