Actions happen according to destiny. But the ego intervenes and says "I am the doer". If one performs those actions without the ego's interference, then there is no doership.
Actions go on, results follow. The choices are 1) To interact with what happens with attachment and get thrown back into the flood of action/results, births/deaths; OR 2) Not to interact with what happens, but let one's purpose fulfill itself without the interference of the ego (I-Thought), instead turn within and seek the source of the phantom ego for the Real Self to be revealed.

There is no separate "I" to have a choice
