Bridging Cultures, Building Futures: Alayna Lemcke's Volunteer Experience

Alayna Lemcke, a volunteer from Sturgis Brown High School in Sturgis, South Dakota, USA, shares her insights from her time at CIYOTA in today's internship and volunteering series. Alayna supports our secondary school's counselling program. She feels proud of the program's success, as students have expressed how much they needed it. Alayna is happy to see how the students are growing and overcoming their inner fears. Working with CIYOTA has been an amazing experience for Alayna. She has been able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, which has contributed to her professional growth. Her communication skills with people from different cultures and backgrounds have improved.
Alayna is impressed by how CIYOTA prepares future educated leaders through quality education. She believes CIYOTA's vision of United, developed and peaceful communities in Africa is truly inspiring.
