10 week old beagle puppy loves his dinner

Oliver is six months old today. In honor of his birthday, here is a video from his first night at our house, back in October. We quickly learned that small dogs can have a big appetite. Happy birthday, Oliver!

Beagles and food are the best of friends. Our beagle Snoopy LOVED Armenian food which was her treat on Saturdays and Sundays. Monday morning was "Blue Monday" as her food dish was dog food which she refused to eat.

Dogs are a bit of pack animals, with strong hierarchy. Including who gets to eat when. If you're too close to Oliver and the food bowl, and actively interacting with him, then he might perceive it as it's not his turn to eat. If he's hesitating the try walking away calmly, sit down and simulate a yawn, and show no interest in what he's doing.
