just yesterday I heard the entire Bhagvad gita on youtube for 2 hours 30 minutes straight. The things spoken there are out of this world, One could not find the things told in it anywhere in the cosmos, most of the things went over my head due to shortage of english but it was so divine. Bhagvad gita is not a religious book, it should be taught to everyone so that we would know ourselves.
I have great respect for Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev ji because due to him my interest in Yoga and Spirituality awakened and I visited his Isha foundation once, But in his own words he is not an scholar of vedic dharma/Sanatan Dharma/Hindu dharms, and he never read religious/historical books related to hinduism, So here I will just clear a simple fact that their are 33 types of Devas/Devis in Hinduism not 33 million also devas doesn't mean god/Ishwar/Bhagwan... Vedas clearly describes that their is only God/Ishwar/Bhagwan. Thankyou

Rebecca, All spiritual quests start off with same question in different ways - it can be either "Is there a God".... Or.... "Who am I" ? Either way... The person is deeply mystified with Mindboggling source of all physical existence and enigmatic popping up and popping out of consciousness. Honestly, I don't think anybody has found the right answer for all this and certainly not Sadh Guru. He is undoubtedly a great orator and his wisdom is spot on. However, please be honest, did he answer the question or did he leave you gasping for it. You will say, he answered it albeit in a very wise and cryptic manner... Leaving the uninitiated hanging between somewhere and nowhere.... Rebecca, if even Gurus answer in a cryptic manner.. Then where do we all mere mortal dimwits go? Hindu texts "Vedas" And "Upanishads" Answer this eternal question more vividly and elaborately than any other Book in the world. But just like you can't understand pure mathematics in spite of reading every word of the book a thousand times... Vedas and Upanishads too require a highly educated ( in ancient Hindu Scriptures) person. Sadly, such people are no more accessible in India 🇮🇳 though.. They can be reached to... Somewhere in remote caves of Himalayas. I am bogged down with compelling necessities of eking out a life for my ageing mom and unmarried 50+ sis.... Otherwise I would have loved to zero in on such "know all" Hindu Saints ... But alas.... Here I am.. Trying to catch two ✌ alms with fully stretched arms so that tomorrow's meal can be arranged. Rebecca, good u like to seek... But trust me Sadh guru is not going to give u answer wrapped in a perfumed envelope.
I 100% agree with what he said here. Some people believe god exist. Other people believe god does not exist. The reality is that nobody knows for sure. But just acknowledge that you don't know, instead of bluntly thriving on "belief". And that's unfortunately the reality we live in and the cause of many religious violence. Things like saying "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger." or "Jesus is the son of god" or a 3rd guy saying "There is no god" are merely beliefs, we don't know for sure. And that's totally fine, but at least acknowledge that your view not set in stone. So don't attack others on having a different believe about it. If mankind can realize this then probably the world would be more peaceful.
