It's a Christmas miracle. NLU always out here doing the Lord's work. Spent last night watching Film Room's from days gone by. Superior golf content as always. Cheers
13:34 - #7 has some serious similarities to #3 at Augusta, at least in the green with that narrow front-left tongue and the left greenside bunker with a huge swale in front. Looks like a super, super fun hole.
Great content. Film room is vastly underrated for the honesty and vulnerability. All the same things seem to go through the head of a 0/+ handicapper and someone in their teens. That brutal “god what the hell am I doing” moment is synonymous. We all bleed the same blood. Great dissection of the course and the game.
It’s been years since I’ve played in Texas but two things I leaned about playing there. 1) the ground is hard so less get your wedges dialed with a proper fitting 2) learn to keep the flight of the ball down. Texas wind can be your best friend or your enemy depending on the direction it blows. Great looking course.
Honestly, Film Rooms are the perfect way to show off a course. Sometimes (like some of Neil's) they get so offline that you can't see the course. But this was a perfect show of the course. I love these!
From someone who grew up down the street from SPGC to a Dallas transplant, I’m glad the NLU and specifically Cody plays the new PGA course in Texas. Can’t wait to get out there
Gotta question the drop at 10:30. If the nearest point of relief is hole-side then he must be dropping his ball more or less on top of his reference point. He could have comfortably dropped that ball not up against a shrub with the one club length you get?
Would recommend to Cody and anyone "putting out of you mind" by Bob Rotella.. particularly if your putting feels mechanical. I was finding more puts were going in when I didn't bother marking the ball or lining it up, so I knew something wasn't right, and the book help get my ahead around that. Also - great video, shows how hard golf is on tough courses!
Cody, I am low single figure handicapper and also had a big problem with my putting yet my stroke - like yours - looked OK. 1) I bought a Blast Motion putting sensor and hooked it up with the phone. Right out of the gate, the sensor told me I was 6deg CLOSED on most putts. I couldn't believe it - thought the sensor was wrong - it wasn't ... with video down the line of the putt I clearly had a small "figure 8" loop at the start of my 'through stroke'. 2) This video below was a game changer in terms of a) head position and b) my hands on the putter - putting the grip of the putter more in the palms. ua-cam.com/video/CoVrDVPM0wM/v-deo.html 3) I started playing way more break and 'dying' putts. My putting has been transformed. Your stroke does not look horrendous, so borrow a Blast sensor and see how "closed" you may be ... I am guessing you are closed.
Gill Hanse is really starting to impress me. I was lucky enough to play the rio Olympic golf course. It was fantastic and this course gives me very similar vibe.
Great content, and Cody is a braver man than me playing on camera, but if you’re going to talk about hitting cups it stings a bit to see the 5 footers scraped back like on 2, and a few cutaways before holing out some 3-4 footers.. Also was struggling with the math on some of those blow up holes.. nitpicking and probably saved us some more heartache! Great move though
I’ve always used the watch other people’s putts technique, but sometimes I let other people’s putts affect my first instinct and it ends up hurting me. Maybe only use it when you are struggling to find break or not sure of your line.
Good stuff! Cody, learning aimpoint simplified green reading for me and I'm learning good thought process with Dr. Izzy Justice's GYRA golf. Definitely recommend!
A little disappointed to see what looks like a merge between Crash Courses and Film Rooms. Think I understand the numbers and logic behind it but hoping to see some classic Film Rooms back in 2023
Cody’s move is just a thing of pure beauty
Love seeing cody get a film room. Awesome!
Yeah

Film Room is seriously the best golf content on YT
Please keep it up with the content load! I know you committed to this and it's just awesome to have regular vids in my feed! Thanks guys!
Sergeant Butters! LOVE Cody's tempo. Hanse doesn't miss this place looks like a banger.

Only 14 cups?!? In a Film Room?!? Hope Randy made the Sarge do some pushups after that
Cody you got a great swing brother. I felt like Solly was staring into my sole with the putting advice. Needed that.
Could not agree more. I would kill for Cody's swing.

Great dissection of the course and the game.
I’m at the stage now of liking NLU videos before I’ve even watched them. Always know it’s going to deliver

Love this series

Cody has a great swing. You guys have the best golf content by far !! Merry Christmas !!
These Film Rooms are great, more please
Very nice. Love these film rooms.
Great tempo Cody, looks effortless
Cody's got a great swing but he makes Rick Shiels look like Brad Faxon with the putter
Blahahahaha

Such a sick course
Great flow to this episode 👌
Awesome stuff. Hope we get more of Cody in the film room
Cody’s swing is so smooth
Would enjoy hear these two discuss the golf swing.
Soly is spot on, with Cody's club positions and sequencing, he should be scoring much, much, better.

Love the Film room! Tracers would top it off. Thanks guys!
Yo scummy pickup on 2 green! We need to see that comebacker son! Excellent video fellas
Stoked this new gem is gunna host a major. Looks so pure and good to see a new track for a major
Cody, it’s the slant neck on the putter. If you’re blocking it out right, go for something with less toe hang.
first thing seeing cody swing, holy smokes what a move!!!
Love the content. Fun to see you guys being human. I dig Cody's tempo on his swing.

Awesome video!
Love Film Rooms. It’s a crime Cody has that smooth a swing and does all the hard things well then reads greens like Helen Keller.
Much better player than the score lets on. What a golf swing.
Any plans for Shot Tracer?
1:03 The course is 7,800 yards and you say that?
Sympathise with the putting challenges...but can't believe Cody isn't a claw convert!
Cody my man you just don’t play near enough break. Read what you are seeing and add a couple more cups!
Going to add this to the list. Plenty of thought going on in the head.
Nice!!
Cody, your in DFW. Go see John Hatfield at artisan golf for a putter and lesson!
What is Cody's hcp? Everyone (and Soly!) is dead on in saying that he looks way better than he scored in this video.
A little disappointed to see what looks like a merge between Crash Courses and Film Rooms. Think I understand the numbers and logic behind it but hoping to see some classic Film Rooms back in 2023
Good vid. Pity about gimmies
Soly, you need to ZOOM OUT.
Cody stop looking at the ball when putting. Look at your hands. It will loosen everything up!
Tempo Town!
time for aimpoint young cody hahah
I hope this fellow fixes his putting!
Luke Donald doppelgänger swing
He missed the comeback putt on 15 didn't he...
14:12 You still don't understand the difference between golf swing and golf.
