I think Kamski is totally on the Deviants side, if you notice the Androids in the pool are conversing and their reaction to your choice makes it out like they are "awake". I chose spare and they almost looked shocked/relieved.
Random Person I think he's just a neutral, but he does lean more on the chaotic side. If he gets his ending in the interview he goes with what "the law" wants him to say, but I do not think he means it. I think he knows what he needs to do in order to achieve more, give the future more and sometimes that means playing by the rules of the law
True I'm just think on an alignment chart he'd be in the slot of either chaotic neutral or true neutral Personally though I think Conner would be lawful neutral and possible become rebel good (if you look up alignment chart there's some with 9 slots and some with 16)
Random Person guuurl there are some charts with 25 of them, I just stick to the 9 ones and mostly never sort a character in just one alignment, but I agree with Connor being lawful neutral, but I think he would develop as a character into something else if there was a sequel to the game. Depends on how you would play him really. I consider myself a true neutral at my core, but I mostly act as chaotic good in today's world. I really never lean more evil, good, chaotic or lawful when making a decision about something, but I choose more something that a chaotic good character would choose, but I always keep in mind that I might be wrong. I like to think outside the light and dark and produce maybe a third option or opinion. I disagree at some parts and agree with some parts of all four of them, but I am not unbothered or completely selfish like some describe true neutral. I like to think that there is something beyond me and more important than my existence and that I can try my best to attribute to something better coming. I relate to Kamski in that way and I see him like that, only he has a better head on his shoulders and is actually successful 😂. I enjoy finding people to debate this topic very much, so I get excited when I do. What do you align yourself with?
That’s so interesting to hear. He may be intriguing, I’ll give him that, but I still hate that sly hipster vegan corporate prick for taking so much pleasure in being so frigging mysterious at a time when he can actually do the decent thing and help. But no, Mr. Kamski simply revels in drama and chaos because he is still butt-hurt by having been removed as CEO of CyberLife. Also, this whole Chloe set-up and Amanda thing is plain creepy.
Hearing Astarion's voice I knew I have heard that voice somewhere else, and after looking up I found out it's the same VA as Kamski. This is one of my favorites scenes from Detroit become human, specially when Connor is a deviant, I love Kamski's reaction to this. And now knowing he is Astarion too makes it even better 😂
Connor: of course i'm a machine, lieutenant. What did you think i was? Hank: I thought you.. I thought.. I think hank wanted connor as someone alive that can be treated like his son. Anyways, I really love this game. Really challenging to play
I don't get why people see him more as a villain. He's a guy who has no definition of anything. He's just figuring out where life wants to lead onward. For example, if you privately ask him "why did you create androids?" I think his answer would honestly be "because I can". He does what he can and waits for the results, but he is well prepared for any outcome and knows exactly what he'll do in every outcome. He's quite an android himself characteristically and is the wishful achievements of the game bottled in a character. (being the game with most choices that matter ever made yet) It's a brilliant character in my opinion and not at all evil or good. He just is. The problem is that people aren't used to characters that don't choose a side so they label it as bad, but for example he's not the one who treats his androids badly and I'm sure if a Chloe wanted to leave he would let her go not being affected by it at all in a bad or good way.
I think the only reason people see him as "bad" is because he basically makes Connor have to choose between two negative outcomes (shoot and get info but you kill another android or don't shoot and fail your mission) and he treats his Chloe's like dolls. I mean he flat out has you point a gun to her head. I don't know if I'd call him evil but he is certainly cold and as you said similar to an android. That and he probably rubs people the wrong way so they see him as bad. Admittedly he is quite a prick.
I think this is an amazing analysis of the character. I think he is one of the most interesting characters created in a video game and foreshadows many future entrepreneurs and computer engineers mindsets and goals or lack there of. Mr Kamski intrigues me so much
4:08 the way Kamski said her name made me nervous immediately. Chilling. My first playthru I had a feeling he was going to do something horrible to her, since there were several models of her in the room and his presence was intimidating. Like he’s done this before. Bravo to that actor! And yet I still don’t think he’s evil, just an anarchist who actually wanted the Androids to have a chance to gain free will to see what would happen. I think he created rA9 (virus) as an experiment and intended for it to either liberate or destroy Androids as a civilization, either Conner or Markus or both could be the liberator or the destroyer of it all, and Kamski is the creator. (Playing god, watching his creations and see what they’ll do)
I love the parallels between Kamski's demeanors in both choices. On one hand "You feel no empathy." just a professional, business-as-usual behavior... But when Conner spares the android, he seems almost hopeful.
What gave him away? Was it the obsession with machinery, the fact he's surrounded himself with Miranda/Adult Rose look alikes to satisfy a power fantasy, the outrageous showmanship straight up swimming in Red motor-oil, the disconnect from humanity, or the voice actor lol
When Conner gets out of the car in the beginning of the chapter of you turn slightly to the right you will see the “L1” icon pop up and when click it you can see the outline of the Jericho boat in the distance. This game is crazy good.
While I do think people are correct that Kamski is neutral, he does favor androids more. He has 0 human contact and lives only with androids in a remote area. You can also hear his disappointment in Connor if he shoots Chloe, and his awe if Connor spares her. Also whenever he looks at Chloe and says "young and beautiful forever" you can see how proud he is of his creation. Everything he does is to see if his creations will evolve or remain the product he originally designed
While looking up Astarion's voice actor, or more like happening upon him I was like "I've seen this man." And lo and behold it was Kamski... and he was one of my favorites in DBH. Neil just voices characters I love
bad habits. in my theatre days i had a cast member who made the same sound and put his hands together at the start of every thought change/sentence. he didn't realize he was doing it, and had to work reeeeeally hard to undo the behavior. it's amazing what our bodies can do without us noticing.
Jason B but he doesn't do that with Gavin, I think it's a conscious choice to make the character look and sound more calculated and well prepared to answer anything, taking his time to form a sentence and then gasping when ready. I think the character learned to think like that through its years and realized that he functions like that the best. It's also a really cool way to imply that he is indeed human despite his character being so android-like. I also personally find him more intimidating with the gasping, because you never know why he needs to prepare such a quick breath, it's like a trigger, like a scene where let's say in a horror movie nobody breathes and all of a sudden somebody breathes in quickly and everyone looks at that person "mini-startled" because the person changed the dynamic. It also shows how he controls the time and that's how he lures people (in this case an android) in, makes us all interested in the scene. It's a very small detail, but it changes the atmosphere completely if used right.
Dora Balog I'm inclined to believe it's just a bad habit the actor hasn't realized he does. Oftentimes stage and screen actors don't realize they're breathing noticeably until they're finally sat down by a vocal coach and told why their breathing is distracting and why they're doing it. Usually, with stage and screen acting, the emphasis for breath control is on using breath to help articulate thoughts for the audience, with most of the focus being on timing your breaths at the end of every sentence/thought; sometimes this focus helps smooth out how loudly actors breathe, but oftentimes not. Singers/voice actors/audio personalities, on the otherhand, have no tools other than their voice, and must learn to silence their breathing early into their training (unless of course they choose to make it noisy for effect), since every aspect of their voicework is magnified. That said, while I am incline to believe that the actor just has a bad habit, it's entirely possible that the guy made a choice in his performance and decided *this* is how Kamski breathes. Entirely possible, if slightly pointless and irritating (to me, at least).
Jason B I know all of this. I'm studying to become a theater director. That being said, I personally love bending things that are "forbidden" to be done in acting or while making a play if it attributes to something. Happy to meet another person knowing what they're talking about and I totally respect your take on what happened with his performance. I just wanted to tell another side, another opinion. I agree that it is a bad habit if the actor does it with every single character he gets to portray. Maybe he really does have a problem with that mannerism, but I'm slightly more on the side of him consciously doing the breaths, because of Gavin and the fact that I enjoyed his portrayal of Kamski A LOT, but I also do understand why people wouldn't like it and find it irritating and I respect that. Everyone has their own opinion and I think both yours and my opinion are valid. Lots of love ❤️
Kamski was an amazing character, even with so little screen time. He *knew* the revolution would've happened from the beginning, and that's why he left an "escape plan". This guy is the reason the game happened in the first place.
MCP/ChronicBuzz Old comment but Deviants. I just realized. Kamski programmed these androids, as he said, he always leaves a backdoor in his programs. What if he programmed deviancy? He created deviancy. Maybe he is RA9. You’d probably think he isn’t because of all the stuff he said about RA9 and the androids at one ending of the game, but he was hiding it. He was just watching this all happen. He is RA9 Think about it, In later parts of the game it is said Kamski gave the prototype of Markus to Carl. What if he intended this? What if he was gifting all these androids with deviant code inside of them? That’s my theory, but tell me what you think.
@@nicestnice3687 Yep. It's not clear, but the fact this Guy has a god complex makes it even more rational. I think he wanted to create a free will in his creations, like God. If it doesn't work, like in the ending where everyone dies, he comes back & creates new ones. I think he wanted to create own free stories, in a much bigger scale than fiction. And yes, he is the true villian of the story if this is true, because humans die most likely Too. But that makes a good Villian, he is controversal.
No one’s because he wasn't interested in any side he's was smart only people with very low intelligence would get upset about something like this like most politicians and more I love him he is like me 🥵💖
Ra9 is Kamski himself, first, every different types of android can know Ra9 without any connection, because there is someone who write this program apply on every android, second, there are many deviants in Jericho before Markus, so Markus is not the first deviant, the question is, one android give the key to Markus to find Jericho, but who give the key to machine state Chloe? why does she have the key? is the key made by Kamski?
Kamski IS RA9!!!! Nicest Nice your theory makes sense but I thought rA9 HAS to be a Android, not a human. So I was thinking Markus is rA9 and he lead the revolution so it makes sense every Android saying rA9 will free us, which he did. But Kamski sure as hell probably programmed him like that intentionally like you said.
There is more to him than the game shows. It is like some of the story did not make the final cut. Why did he leave Cyberlife? What was the real reason behind the fallout he had with the company? Was it that he could no longer bear to see his creations be 'slaves' to the human race? Did he want to make them self-aware and the company board panicked and fired him? His sympathy for the androids causes is an anomaly to all other humans in the game. His story seems very incomplete. This is my favorite part of the game though.
I don't think he has "sympathy" for the androids if he's willing to have another android (Connor) shoot one just to satisfy his (Kamski's) curiosity. I think he's neutral about whether they're slaves or free, and he's more just curious about how it will play out.
Kamski doesn't look bad I mean oml but all aside from that, making Conner choose like that was seriously messed up. He is really cryptic & I want to know his backstory with the androids when they were first made.
nochtis( Hey look here, I am chill so why do you choose to be an ass about someone's opinion. All I'm saying is making a machine or anything with a conscious kill for information can be messed up. I'm not saying he shouldn't have done it. Also what does your reply have to do with my comment?
from nochtis' retarded comment, i can tell that if AI ever does get mainstream, he's going to be one of those plebs begging and protesting that he lost his job.
This is my favorite chapter of the game. There are so many nuances and theories about who’s side Kamski is on. Notice how he smiles when Connor asks for the location for Jericho, but frowns with the other questions. But I can't get one thing out of my head. Hank managed to contact Kamski so that he could proceed with the investigation. Chloe gets the phone, schedules the interview and then informs Kamski. Then immediately after he goes: Kamski :”Chloe, put a gun on the drawer of my pool chamber.” Chloe ”...” Kamski: ”And make sure it is the only item in the drawer.”
Why are the two pool Chloe's having a conversation? They aren't deviant at this point and it makes no sense for them to converse as there is no programmable reason for them to. What could they possibly be discussing? If they needed to share some important android info they can do it telepathically. PS Kamski is hot.
There's actually a theory that the Chloes there, including the OG, were actually deviant already. But chose to stay with Kamski, if you notice they actually look back when Connor doesn't shoot and one of them actually started watching him for a moment when Connor and Hank leave. Edit: The one on the left, her LED was yellow for a moment when she looked back after Connor refused to shoot
What gave him away? Was it the obsession with machinery, the fact he's surrounded himself with Miranda look alikes to satisfy a power fantasy, the disconnect from humanity, or the voice actor lol
I played this game when it came out and while I definitely remember Kamski and this performance, he wasn’t in the game enough to make me really remember his voice. After falling so deep down into BG3 coming back to this was like a slap in the face, it’s so clearly Astarion that it makes my brain short circuit a little knowing that I heard all of this before (multiple times) and didn’t know.
I feel like the result of the test could’ve been achieved if the gun wasn’t actually loaded. Could’ve saved Kamski an android or more if it’s been done multiple times.
I bet he's behind this 1. They wouldn't introduce him and not do anything else with him in the next game 2. That replica of his teacher in Connor's brain basically said she were behind it and it's not cyberlife because Kamski left the company 3. He wanted to do this so that he could either use Connor to regain control of the androids for himself, get revenge on his company or secure android rights in order to protect his profits or future profits.
Even if he acts like he has nothing to lose and gives no single fucks to anybody, the only person Hank gets scared in this game is Kamski. He knows Kamski is the smartest, most important and at the same time most dangerous person in the world at the moment. If anybody other than Kamski suddenly brings out a gun near him he could pull his gun, get angry or warn the person but here he looked timid and tried to figure out what was going on. And at the end he wanted to leave Kamski's place as soon as possible...
Connor is fascinating android who performs emotes from the beginning of the game. We don’t even realize it because it seemed normal to us,but every moment he performed emotion. As Hank said “emotions screw everything up” By the end Connor was angry at himself for showing emotion. As Kamski said,Connor is all deviant. There are mamy more things than you are looking for and how many emotions he showed, God,I love him!
The Kamski Test really doesn't work because first of all, not all humans feel empathy and not to the same degree. Deviancy is more about free will than having emotions. And even if Connor was already a deviant in this scene and did feel empathy there are various reasons why he would still shoot Chloe. Like, he genuinely thinks the humans are in the right, he is trying to hide himself from Cyberlife and Hank so they won't destroy him, he can see that Chloe isn't a deviant so her life doesn't matter to him as an actually life and many more. Same goes if he doesn't shoot. Using weapons is against android law, he didn't find the decision logical, he didn't believe Kamski knew anything of value etc. For a genius, Kamski didn't really think this through.
Is it just me or Kamski's accent in his words after the "Don't shoot" choice seems to have more...emotion, more weight, more empathy than the other one? Like he's worried? While as after the "Shoot" choice, he remained cold and cunning.
2:40 he has a way of expressing the truth without really saying it. Markus was rA9, he can transfer it through touch. And Connor ends up being a source of deviancy too. Idfk but Kamskis a mysterious ass character and I need more of him. He’s the main protagonist after all
Detroit: Become Human 2 we need another game! i want to understand the characters more especially kamski. i hope in the next 1 they make a better robot with more of an advantage in combat and parkour.
Kamski wanted Connor to shoot Chloe wasn't because of the investigation. It's because Kamski wanted to play some mind tricks with Connor to shoot Chloe in order for Connor to get what he wants especially when it comes to information of finding out who RA9 is, where Jericho is located, as well as how deviancy spreads. Connor was somehow influenced by Kamski to say the least. It was all a test to see whether Connor really has empathy for the deviants he hunted. If he chooses to shoot Chloe, he would rather choose the investigation and put an end to the deviancy case. However if he chooses to spare Chloe's life, he would choose empathy. In this case, Chloe wasn't a deviant, she was just a regular android who happened to be one of Kamski's favourites. Cyberlife programme advanced deviant hunters like RK800 Connor for a reason. He's the best deviant hunter who would do anything to accomplish his mission, even if it means destroying his own species.
I’ve thought about this a lot. Kamski’s dialogue is vague enough to where I can’t say many things with certainty, but my strongest hypothesis is: In the Kamski short in the extras menu, he said that androids could even replace leaders someday and better humanity. I don’t think Kamski’s motivations are that good-natured, but he definitely never saw android sentience as a scary thing (except for when he lies so that he can try again). He probably started the deviancy phenomenon intentionally, and the secret Kamski ending is the beginning of his second attempt. Also, he might be talking about himself as well when he says “betray your people” to Connor? It works if everything was intentional.
The fact he gave each of these androids their homes by perfect distribution so they'd be set up under circumstances that shaped them differently into the dream team to all go Deviant and then himself pretty much caused Connor to go Deviant proves to me he caused it. I think he left cyberlife once he realized it was possible and this was his way of quiet atonement in his corner of the world, staying out of the way other than doing what needs to be done so he doesn't cause chaos or detection. Perhaps he knew connor was coming and asked chloe to prepare for his visit. Some take the Pacifict route to be the only canon route so if we take that into consideration, he banked on the fact by now in the investigation, connor was unstable enough to not be able to shoot her and for the player, from a writers perspective, making this really hard to do anyway, especially making him a generally disliked character, not doing what he seemingly wanted became easier. He also seemed his version of upset with his voice and turned body language when the player shoots her. As if his mask slipped. Then there's him basically saying "by the way if you fail to go Deviant like i want, here's the literal door because fuck Amanda, you might decide you need it later."
I think Kamski refused to answer the question if Connor hesitated because if Connor’s a deviant, he knows Deviant Connor can find the questions without Kamski’s assistance.
If the ra9 is the first android to awaken, it would be Kara. She is the first one to have become deviant, both in the game and the DBH universe. Chloe didn’t become a deviant until after the events of the game, Kamski is human so it’s definitely not him, and ra9 is only one deviant, so the common theory that the three protagonists of the game are ra9 is false. Kara=ra9
When he was talking about rA9 "the origin... the firt one to awaken" then about the virus "Probably all started with one model, copy error... zero instead od one" I think Kamski kinda started all this deviant thing... in the game u can find out that Marcus was an original, he was a gift from Kamski to Carl... maybe Kamski put somewhere zero instead one? o.O :)
It doesn't have anything to do with the law. It's a matter of programming VS free will. Connor has been programmed to investigate deviants. He was promised a crucial piece of information in exchange for killing an android, so if he really is just a machine, he shouldn't really have a choice but to shoot. Putting the well-being of someone who is generally thought of to not even be alive above his only reason to exist proves that he is not forced to do as he is told and can make his own decisions based on morality.
Hank sounds so betrayed in Connor shoots Chloe, oh god I can't- Also that's really interesting how Kamski says deviancy is a virus that gets transferred when two androids meet and that remains dormant until an emotional shock occurs, activating it. If that's true then when did Connor get this "deviancy virus"? He must've gotten it from one of the androids he hunted I suppose. Do they have to touch to spread it? It seems that way with Markus and (at the end if you choose Deviant) Connor. They touch the other androids and they "wake up". At the same time, how come only they are capable of doing this? And if it takes an emotional shock to activate the dormant code, then how is Markus and Connor able to awaken the other androids simply by touching them? And if it doesn't require touching to be spread, how does that work?
Maybe an emotional shock is just one of the ways it can be awakened...maybe Markus and Connor are also transferring thoughts or the memories from other andriods that are enough to waken it.
In my opinion, Kamski is not on the side of the humans or the androids, but on your side. He is not afraid of losing his livelihood because he is rich and he does not feel inferior to the androids because he is their creator
Kamski: This is a test to see if you have empathy. Connor: Follows programming. Kamski: test negative :/ Hank: >>>:( Connor: what is up with you people
Jesus Christ… Hank had a good idea get out immidiately from Kamski´s house, cause Kamski is pretty pervese (and I don´t mean in sexual way… for this moment). In the end of conversation Kamski said, that he leave an emergency exit in all of his programs that may mean, that in all androids is built in error, something why machines acquire human emotions and become living being (they are potential deviants from the begining). In the other words he forced potential living being (Connor) to execute (not destroy or „just“ kill) another potential human being (Chloe). It´s creepy. In version where Connor spares Chloe, he is (Connor) in shock after that (his hands are shaking little bit, he blinks a lot, he has fast breathing, when he says „I am not a deviant“ it sounds desperately and when he says „I just saw that girl´s eyes and I couldn´t“ he almost cries - I love this game for these little amazing details). And for Kamski it´s a just fun, pleasure, game, challange… I think that Kamski is the most evil character in this story. And that Kamski lives under the one roof with three (or more) beatiful girls-androids which wear just bikini, it also says something about him.
Kamski, I think isn't on the android's side necessarily. I think what he wants is for an android to pass his test, and prove that he was able to create new life.
A civil war is about to break out and Kamski here is swimming in Kool Aid

The term you're looking for is chaotic neutral.
I think this is an amazing analysis of the character. I think he is one of the most interesting characters created in a video game and foreshadows many future entrepreneurs and computer engineers mindsets and goals or lack there of. Mr Kamski intrigues me so much
@@franzliszt4038 Thank you, I am of the same opinion :)
(Playing god, watching his creations and see what they’ll do)
You literally described a villain.
@@kirikakirikakirika I suppose so.
I love the parallels between Kamski's demeanors in both choices. On one hand "You feel no empathy." just a professional, business-as-usual behavior... But when Conner spares the android, he seems almost hopeful.
Niel Newbon is such a good VA aaaaa
it's crazy how he can speak in an american accent
The guy who sounds like Karl Heisenberg talking to the guy who looks like Karl Heisenberg
Lol
And Kamski IS the guy who plays Heisenberg 😅
Here because kakmski also voices Astarion in BG3 and I wanted to see if I heard it.
Same. You can kind of hear his accent come through on certain words, and of course the character looks like him because he mo capped him I believe.
Came here after realizing he has the same voice actor as Astarion, and man I would have never guessed LOL
Admit it, you wouldn't mind It if kamski Was Your Sugar Daddy.
Stop exposing me like this

Omg yes he has this sugar saddy vibes on him and that is hot 😍

also: he as a bastard. he promised to tell them all he knows - not "ask one question"
While looking up Astarion's voice actor, or more like happening upon him I was like "I've seen this man." And lo and behold it was Kamski... and he was one of my favorites in DBH. Neil just voices characters I love
Coming back to this after Neil's perfomance as Astarion is like music to my ears. How could I not recognize this awesome man when I first played?!
why does kamski keep gasping every time before each sentence lmao
The actor is British... so he ends up gasping when trying to sound American lol
bad habits. in my theatre days i had a cast member who made the same sound and put his hands together at the start of every thought change/sentence. he didn't realize he was doing it, and had to work reeeeeally hard to undo the behavior. it's amazing what our bodies can do without us noticing.
Kamski: "Who's side are you on Connor?!"
And here I am, still wondering who's side Kamski was on a year and a half later :D
No ones

Old comment but
Deviants.
He is RA9
Think about it, In later parts of the game it is said Kamski gave the prototype of Markus to Carl. What if he intended this? What if he was gifting all these androids with deviant code inside of them?
That’s my theory, but tell me what you think.
Whose
@@nicestnice3687 Yep. It's not clear, but the fact this Guy has a god complex makes it even more rational. I think he wanted to create a free will in his creations, like God. If it doesn't work, like in the ending where everyone dies, he comes back & creates new ones. I think he wanted to create own free stories, in a much bigger scale than fiction.
And yes, he is the true villian of the story if this is true, because humans die most likely Too. But that makes a good Villian, he is controversal.
No one’s because he wasn't interested in any side he's was smart only people with very low intelligence would get upset about something like this like most politicians and more I love him he is like me 🥵💖
The voice of kamski gives me chills, such deep voice.
Totally, he could talk to me into doing nasty thangs xD
Ra9 is Kamski himself, first, every different types of android can know Ra9 without any connection, because there is someone who write this program apply on every android, second, there are many deviants in Jericho before Markus, so Markus is not the first deviant, the question is, one android give the key to Markus to find Jericho, but who give the key to machine state Chloe? why does she have the key? is the key made by Kamski?
zswk1234 it makes sense now!
I think rA9 is a code that makes androids go deviant.
I also thought that ra9 is Kamski himself lmao
Too bad that there's no official answer. (or is there?)
This is now my headcannon, thank you soo much.
Too easy as answer, if it were so easy it wouldn't be such a problem
came back to this because i just learned that the VA for Astarion voices Kamski too 😋🤞
How hard is it to find kamski if his house is that close to cyberlife tower
Kamski IS RA9!!!!
I just realized. Kamski programmed these androids, as he said, he always leaves a backdoor in his programs. What if he programmed deviancy? He created deviancy. Maybe he is RA9.
Markus is RA9!
I love kamski. For some reason
BRO THIS IS ASTARION OMGGG
I would choose to spare Chloe just to get a ride back to the city
This is my favorite chapter of the game. There are so many nuances and theories about who’s side Kamski is on. Notice how he smiles when Connor asks for the location for Jericho, but frowns with the other questions.
But I can't get one thing out of my head. Hank managed to contact Kamski so that he could proceed with the investigation. Chloe gets the phone, schedules the interview and then informs Kamski. Then immediately after he goes:
Kamski :”Chloe, put a gun on the drawer of my pool chamber.”
Chloe ”...”
Kamski: ”And make sure it is the only item in the drawer.”
He wants the Androids to create a revolution, if this generation fails he will try again
American Astarion still sounds so romantic aaa
Well I think the lieutenant is hotter
Kamski is so interesting character.
just realized kamski is karl heisenberg from resident evil village. Had to come back here to hear his voice again lol
What gave him away? Was it the obsession with machinery, the fact he's surrounded himself with Miranda look alikes to satisfy a power fantasy, the disconnect from humanity, or the voice actor lol
He's finally perfected his metal army and is now ready to grind Mirander into paste without Ethan's help
Kamski: "Spare the girl and I won't give you any information"
Also Kamski: *Tells Connor about the emergency exit
I’m here cuz Astarion. 😮
Aren't we all darling?
I played this game when it came out and while I definitely remember Kamski and this performance, he wasn’t in the game enough to make me really remember his voice. After falling so deep down into BG3 coming back to this was like a slap in the face, it’s so clearly Astarion that it makes my brain short circuit a little knowing that I heard all of this before (multiple times) and didn’t know.
Detroit Become Kamski.
RA9 is Chloe on 13:06
Good that you put all the versions
So basically there's two outcomes 1. Get a ride home or 2. Walk home
lol basically
"Fascinating.." that was delivered perfectly, couldn't have been better! this game is so cool
I can quote this entire scene in a car on a hot day with nothing else around me (sound etc)
It's Astarion!!! 😭 (Baldur's Gate 3)
Ah! Didn't know it was Astarion from BG3. Dude has major chops.
kamski (the voice actor for him) is also the voice of heisenberg from resident evil village @Sam H. he's delightfully versatile. i just love it.
Neil Newbon the man you areee
13:02 What a fascinating button
I feel like the result of the test could’ve been achieved if the gun wasn’t actually loaded. Could’ve saved Kamski an android or more if it’s been done multiple times.
I bet he's behind this
1. They wouldn't introduce him and not do anything else with him in the next game
2. That replica of his teacher in Connor's brain basically said she were behind it and it's not cyberlife because Kamski left the company
3. He wanted to do this so that he could either use Connor to regain control of the androids for himself, get revenge on his company or secure android rights in order to protect his profits or future profits.
Don’t mind me just looking for Heisenberg comments
Who is here after finding out Kamski's voice actor also does Karl Heisenberg from Resident Evil???
He sounds like Astarion and talks like a psychotherapist. Cool
The voice actor is astarion! Neil newbon for the win ❤
If you look how the characters are positioned. Hank is on the right side and Kamski is on the left side. Like a Angel and a devil.
I kinda get the vibe that Kamski does his androids when no one is around
i mean,wouldn't you?
@@williamshakespeare987 yeah probably they do look low key hot
Imagine him having loads of Android bodies of himself with his consciousness inside each one he picks to fool people and want Androids to take over
The Kamski Test really doesn't work because first of all, not all humans feel empathy and not to the same degree.
For a genius, Kamski didn't really think this through.
there is the astarion rizz
What if that pool Kamski swam is water with bunch of red ice
This is Sokka from the Southern Water Tribe, feel old yet?
how can i do this mission ? I didnt in my story
?? no
LOL THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO MUCH 😂
Is it just me or Kamski's accent in his words after the "Don't shoot" choice seems to have more...emotion, more weight, more empathy than the other one? Like he's worried? While as after the "Shoot" choice, he remained cold and cunning.
Its like Dr. Sun speaking to Commander Data.
Tell me i'm not the only one who came back after loving Heisenbergs voice
Your are not alone! :-)
Kamski’s dialogue is vague enough to where I can’t say many things with certainty, but my strongest hypothesis is:
In the Kamski short in the extras menu, he said that androids could even replace leaders someday and better humanity.
True badass puppetmaster.
There are few things that feel better than getting a big blue "affection increased" arrow for Hank.
LT (after Conor shoot the fembot): Wtf did you do that for.
LT (After Conor put the gun down): Why didn't you shoot her.
I wonder if Chloe volunteered for that... hm.
[ 10:05 ] you can actually hear his machine side comming out at this point ...
I think Kamski refused to answer the question if Connor hesitated because if Connor’s a deviant, he knows Deviant Connor can find the questions without Kamski’s assistance.
bhahahaha he ended up telling the truth after Connor sparring Chloe.
Kara=ra9
Him in the bath is the reason I named myself after him
When he was talking about rA9 "the origin... the firt one to awaken" then about the virus "Probably all started with one model, copy error... zero instead od one"
I think Kamski kinda started all this deviant thing... in the game u can find out that Marcus was an original, he was a gift from Kamski to Carl... maybe Kamski put somewhere zero instead one? o.O :)
5:50 Since when is using firearms against the law (androids aren't allowed to is stated in the game) a proof of being an "obedient machine"?
It doesn't have anything to do with the law. It's a matter of programming VS free will.
Connor has been programmed to investigate deviants. He was promised a crucial piece of information in exchange for killing an android, so if he really is just a machine, he shouldn't really have a choice but to shoot.
Putting the well-being of someone who is generally thought of to not even be alive above his only reason to exist proves that he is not forced to do as he is told and can make his own decisions based on morality.
Heisenberg sounds different..
This Elijah guy is a great freaking villain, he's so intelligent, an evil genius. I want to see more of him...
Neil Newbon can fucking act.
Heisenberg after getting freed from Miranda....
Kamski: test negative :/
Hank: >>>:(
Connor: what is up with you people
Jesus Christ… Hank had a good idea get out immidiately from Kamski´s house, cause Kamski is pretty pervese (and I don´t mean in sexual way… for this moment).
I can't unsee karl heisenberg speech on this scene
Neil sounds so different here, it's awesome. Though sometimes I hear Neil break through.
Kamski, I think isn't on the android's side necessarily. I think what he wants is for an android to pass his test, and prove that he was able to create new life.
This why you don’t trust a guy with a man bun.
