I've never made a hoop pin board but have supplies I'm not doing anything else with, so I hit up UA-cam and yours was the first video I watched. After several more, it's the best one, IMO. Thank you for doing it! I want to make one for a friend and I know he actually uses his pins, so I may add a layer of muslin behind the batting to help keep it neat. Other than that tweak, I love everything about your method and the result. I feel confident enough to make several. Thank you for the video and the guidance.

Muslin on the back definitely sounds like a good modification, especially if you're swapping pins out a lot. Maybe I'll do that too for my next one!

This video is super easy to follow! Thanks so much. Just wondering if the quilt batting is mandatory for a successful attempt at this? Would just adding an additional layer of fabric work?

Glad you liked it!
I had just tried with fabric only and found the pins weighed it down a lot, that's why I used the batting. You can try 2 layers, or if you have a sturdier material or interfacing you can do that too. Try it and see how it turns out 🙂
