Cheers from Norway 😃 I've a recipe many family members want me to do before Christmas. It's called 44. 1 l 40% neutral Cest from one Orange, only the yellow stuff. 44 brown sugarcubes 44 coffee beans lightly crushed. 1 vanilla bean. Put all in a jar, shake it every now and then. Let it soak for 44 days.
That sounds fantastic. Will definitely be making this. But I think I'll add some coffee flavour syrup and perhaps some creamer then we'll call it a moonshine latte
Great moonshine Wednesday Randy! I have tried macerating ground coffee but filtering was a pain and I lost too much booze in the wet grounds. A guy on home distillers forum suggested using whole coffee beans for hours not days. I think I used Kona, it seemed to just strip the oils off the outside of the beans yielding a nice coffee flavor without a bitter bite. It has been years but I don’t think I sweetened it. It was a great sipper and I was able to reuse the beans for brewing coffee. Works well using bourbon too. Thank you for all you are doing! Great stuff!
1:24 ... you say - " HALF BATCH = 6 cups ( 0.3 gallon ) ... but to me I have a 10 gallon double pot still with a 30 foot copper coil , so .. ummm ... " 1/2 batch " would be 5 gallons in my book ! .. NOT ( 6 cups or 0 .33 gallon amount ) that you consider to be 1/2 batch ! ... ... I use apples. I make apple sauce & juice for my kids, then when the 'leftovers' are not eaten , I ferment it into 12 % apple cider, then whatever is left over, I distill 2 x into 60 % apple jack moonshine.
I'm glad I came around for Moonshine Wednesday, too. I always do. Thank you, Randy.
Sounds yummy!!! Your sister in law would love to taste it!!! 🤗
Have to see what I can do
This is a shine that I make a lot . Great to add to my coffee at night .
I really enjoy moonshine Wednesdays! I'm a big fan of blackberry, got a shine for that?
Thanks!
I’ve been waiting for this all day. Awesome!!!!!
My wife and I are always excited for Moonshine Wednesday!!!
Awesome moonshine Wednesday Randy!
One of my favorites. I do one with bourbon too. Never lasts at my house either......Salude!

Do you back off on the vanilla if you put French vanilla creamer in it?
Do you use grain spirits or sugarheads for these moonshine creations?
Great question I use a corn based shine
Let's call it KAHMOONA!😁
Randy , I am a Diabetic, do you think using “Sugar in the raw” or brown sugar could be used instead of processed sugar?
@@HodgyE5 I don’t see why not
Excited to get home and try this one! Did you use a high proof or just regular sipping proof?
100 proof
My bad I totally missed where you said the proof! Definitely trying when I get home!
@@stillworksandbrewingthanks Randy! Super glad I found your channel!
Pretty much exactly my recipe for khalua.

I think you're confused. He's talking about a half batch of this recipe. Nothing to do with what's been distilled.
