I could never quite get if Kate was a homophobic or self-hating lesbian or not. I couldn't wrap around being she was so progressive yet how she felt about gay people?
I am wondering what play they are referencing that she was in presently at the beginning of the conversation. I am also wondering the name of the playwright and author she was referring to, also toward the beginning, for which she spoke of in such high regard. If anyone can decipher please reply - thank you! Also, her views on society are fascinating. She really doesn’t fit into any modern day mold; she is such a definite independent thinker.
Thank you

You're welcome. It did take me a long time to find.
This is just great! And you can tell she's typically had her interviewer come for lunch. Gets the conversation going in a more casual manner.
Her last interview in 2003 was also an interviewer coming to lunch!
