WELCOME BACK! Missed you an RJ! I sold my 3 bd 2 bath home and moved into a 2005 150 sq ft trailer. I donated all my furniture and items to an animal rescue to sell. Never been happier in my life. That was 5 years ago and I don't miss anything. Only wish I did it sooner. Again, so happy to have you back! 💖🖤
Hi Julie, good to see you. 5 years in your rig. I bet there are many things we can learn from you. Thank you for helping me prove my point. I really did take offense as to how we were portrayed. Had to say something.
I was lucky enough to camp with you and a couple other ladies for a few days and none of you are helpless or destitute. You've built your own rigs, helped others build their rigs and have done other things to help other nomads on their journey. You were all welcoming to me and gracious hosts. Thank you.
Always good to see you, so glad we got to camp together and got to know each other. Thank you for your confirming comment. I just had to set the record straight.
💥” influenced by finances but not destitute or homeless” 💥 Spot on Kat, I am thankful that I had the opportunity to look into this lifestyle as an alternative, no matter where you are or how you live you have to adapt and make decisions and choices. Right now for this point in my life I am very good and very strong with my decisions and that is most of the women that I have met out there. Very strong independent thinking women❤❗️🙌
:) GO Kat! Well said and done :) Yes there are some that are struggling everywhere, BUT not all thankfully. ALL the BEST and THANKS for all you share and RJ for sure ! Cheers from soggy Upper Left!
I'm a creative, academic, book reading, coffee drinking, animal loving, photo taking and life living woman! I love more mild temps because I like to get out and see the world. I did choose this because of finances and I want a super simple, curated life. I am only 49 but I have been saving for 3 years now. I plan of doing this FT within the next 5 years. I live well. My health has never been better. I am an introvert but I have met the nicest people, heard their wonderful stories and sat with their pets!
Thank you for sharing! Sounds like you are a natural born nomad. You are planning ahead, very wise. I have no doubts you will succeed and accomplish your goals. I so hope our paths cross in the future. I look forward to hearing from you again. You go girl!
Hi Rose, it was a pure pleasure meeting you and sweet Skye. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I thought of you when I was talking of the strong independent women I've met out here. You rock! Email me if you want to meet up again. katanddogsonwheels@gmail.com Give Skye a hug for me.🤗💕🐾
Kat! It's so good to see you again! Why is it women are always portrayed as victims? Why can't we be left to live our lives? I'm working towards a Nomad life in just under 4 years, and I'm so excited! You've been such an inspiration to me as I daydream about the future where the only rules are the rules of the road.
I just found out about your channel loving it you are refreshing i am thinking about it and yes the fear mongering was setting me off i am a single older man just for giving me hope again that this can be possible sending love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ RJ is great 😘😘😘👍👍👍
Welcome to my channel. Thank you for taking the time to chat. I know I talked about the women but that's because we were the object of the video I saw. Solo senior men are out here too and a big part of the nomad community. There are good men out here, the ones I've met have become friends. We're definitely a mixed bag of young adults, seniors, singles, couples and families. You'll be welcomed if you choose to try it out.
I couldn't agree more, Kat! You and I met last Saturday at the dollar store and then again a few minutes later at the grocery store. I have been in the city as well as the desert and have found nothing but nice people along the way. I'm using the beauty of the desert to help me work through some writing projects, and getting a few things up on my channel before I go back to Canada for the summer. Until you experience it, I don't think you can really fully understand just what opens up inside of you from being in this community and also having the freedom you have on the road. You summed up things very nicely. I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos in the future.
Hi Donna, it was a pleasure meeting you and sweet Skye. One of the things I like about Quartzsite... the wonderful people we meet. We have to plan a meet up.Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. You do have a way with words. It's really good to have you here!
Good to hear from you. It takes guts, courage and believing in yourself to achieve a dream that most think is " out of the ordinary". I missed out on a lot in my life because "society says". Kudos to you girls for living fearlessly and living your dreams. You rock! ❤ to all.(I hope to be a part time nomad soon)
As always good to see you Jagg. I hope you fulfill your goal soon. When you do we'll have to meet up. I love meeting viewers in person. So many of you are already friends. It's more like seeing an old friend rather than meeting someone for the first time.
@jaggjagg5928 You might be surprised. Us humans are good at under estimating ourselves. The RTR here in Quartzsite is a good place to make friends. Maybe I should do a video on making friends while traveling or camping. As a bartender for, let's just say over 20 yrs, I've gotten good at starting a conversation. 🤗 I look forward to meeting you. Thanks Jagg!
Hello Kat I'm glad to see you back. I missed your post there's one time that I was unsubscribed. Keep posting I enjoy seeing the updates with you and RJ stay strong you're a blessed woman thank you for what you do on your post. Be blessed
Oh my goodness it is so pretty there! You both look super happy. I appreciated your comment “finances may have influenced your decision” but it does not dictate your ability to live this quality of life.
We all have our ups and downs, financially and otherwise - whether we live in houses or buses! Personally, I think it's way more fun weathering the storm in a bus! Glad you set the record straight, Sister!
Welcome back Kat and RJ. Well said video. Wanted to be a nomad since the late 80's but wasn't set up like it is now. With websites to find free camping , etc.
It’s good to watch a person filled with joy! Good for you on setting the record straight. I’d love to meet up with your tribe someday! ✌🏻😊👍🏻🫶🏻🌲⛰️🚐🐱🐶 🌸 🌺 🌼🪻
Had to stop part way through the video to cheer. I'm working on some videos myself, and one of them specifically deals with the "not homeless" issue. Yeah, there are people who through misfortune or bad planning have to live in their vehicles, but for some of us it's a choice. Road life can be tough, but no rent and no landlord goes a long way with me. :)
I made it to Nebraska but every time I thought I was going to head that way a new storm would come rolling in. Soon, real soon and I'm really hoping to meet you and RJ and Mary and her new pup. Maybe you can teach me how to get my dog to not pull so hard when I walk her 😊
Weather is crazy these days, but not here in Quartzsite. Would love to get together with you and your pup. And yes, we can totally get your dog from being a puller to the dog that walks by your side or with your permission can wander to the end of the leash without pulling. 🤗🐾
Hey Kat glad you are doing well and as for your very cool bus you have it was a great time we had getting your electrical and passing on some tips to help you out before you headed south. Dennis
