You could have tried to mute Demi Fiend during extra press turns instead of chipping away from his health so he wouldn't use Mediarahan. But seeing how your party got Mamudoon'd, that wouldn't help much without anyone buffing you for that last one (or two) hit(s)

It's dlc 10 dollars and you have to fight all other fiends before also if you don't two shot him he will cast mediaran and Regain all his health but he does that once also I fought him under level and on safety yes he's that hard it took an hour

I started playing these games a month apart, and it felt really weird facing Demi-fiend for the first time. I can't imagine how it must felt to someone that played third game back in the day.
Fun fact, he's also a Bonus Boss in SMT: Digital Devil Saga 1. The battle against him uses the normal random encounter theme from SMT3. So basically, to you he's the hardest fight in the game. To him, it's just a couple of mooks to be slaughtered. Also, he also has Pixie with him in that fight. *Don't kill it, he gets pissed if you do.*

If you also think about it everything related to Nahobino is about divinity and godhood, while demi fiend its chaos, hell and demons so its an awesome battle in that context
