Yeah she did though. She said "a lot of things he said concerned me..." like if you're that concerned, don't have sex with them. period. Definitely don't try to pressure them into going further. Honestly, women should be held to the same standards as men.
I like Lauren. She seems like the most healthy, genuine, caring woman. Why would the show match her up with someone like Matthew? He is not at all the kind of man she is looking for. It seems like he got overwhelmed, scared and then fled. Sad for both of them. The producers really use people and set them up. The whole show seems so fake now.

I watched the show for the first time this year, and as soon as I saw the first commitment ceremony I stopped watching. If one person wants to leave a relationship or situation, they should be able to leave. The message that sends is so toxic.
The problem here is they employ “experts” who seem to do absolutely NOTHING when anything happens on that show. They sit back and watch chaos and just commentate and don’t actually step in and get involved.

hondonw I never called myself a doctor, I just said I believe not diagnosing him. I just said he has similar traits to people I met with autism which has been four people I closely interacted with, plus I’m not the first person to say this others mentioned it on the MAFS UA-cam.
It’s more just the fact of him being so “emotionless” I mean so much happened and he had to process things through so much, and when Lauren mentioned what he said hurting her he just blankly blinked he didn’t seem affected even when he said he has never felt that kind of heart break before. Plus on the radio someone went to uni with him and said he carried a lunch box everywhere and had to eat every 2 hours and was very diligent with it. That’s not a normal behaviour to have. Saying oh well maybe he had an over active thyroid or a fast metabolism and he has to eat every 2 hours is a reason why. Well he’s quite stocky so no.
Plus he suffers from social anxiety which is an extremely high trait with autism especially people on the spectrum. Another one is he rarely made eye contact he looked down a lot when they spoke and if he did look at her he was constantly blinking they had sex you’d think he’d be comfortable enough to make eye contact with her? People on the spectrum and with autism lack communication skills and making eye contact isn’t something they often do the four I interacted with all did the same things when I spoke to them they constantly looked down and blinked a lot and were quite uncomfortable if I looked at them so I often had to look away while speaking to them for their own comfort.
Another point is he never really understood her point which she says in this interview she talks how it was all about Matt and his social issues he had and how he felt. People with autism are unable to understand others emotions and will just go off the bat on their own things and will only ever make it about themselves because they don’t often get it.
Like I said I’m not diagnosing him like you’re both claiming, I never called myself a doctor I just said I believe he “possibly” has it. He just has a lot of traits of the same as what I saw in the men and women I came across with autism.
MAFS Just hasn't been the same since season 1. After they saw the success of season 1, producers threw money at it to make it more cunning and slutty. Adding dinner parties and commitment ceremonies... WTF.
Season 1 was about the physiology. Now it's become worse than soap. Big brother vs sex Island mashed up as one.

@Nattie bubbles this is a reality tv show, highly edited. We don't know these people in real life. We have no idea who or what they really are or what they could be. I for one have been in a relationship with someone who was a narc and also an undiagnosed asperger. Trust me It wasn't easy but I feel I'm a pretty good judge of these characteristics now. However I'm not a Dr so would not even try to diagnose someone, especially through a tv screen.

I think we just have to accept the fact that online comments have the same phenomenon as road rage. If you can't be physically caught, people revert back to their basic primal instincts, which is to take a crazy moral high ground and harshly criticise and attack anyone who is not perceived to be on their level without ever considering what it would be like to be in that person's shoes. Additionally perhaps MAFS need to look at what’s happened with Love Island UK ...3 suicides, 2 contestants 1 presenter, and take their duty of care responsibilities more seriously. You could argue reality TV contestants sign up for media fall out because it goes with the ‘job’ but if you work in banking, medicine, construction whatever procedures are in place to protect employees from stress. Seems like MAFS is slow off the mark in this regard and the Australian press (like this) are lapping up these people’s suffering

Thanks for doing this interview Lauren. I'm sorry the producers feel the need to do things like this to people just to get the ratings up without putting all the contestants first. Sure not everything is going to go smoothly but they don't need to go out of their way to cause extra drama. Those 'experts' (I use the term loosely) have to know everything that's going on but sit there at the dinner party making out they are oblivious. It's ridiculous.

That is incredibly tacky that Matt's mental health was mentioned. As someone who works in adolescent mental health, many people feel as though they don't fit in and have social anxiety. Hey, it is part of maturing psychologically to realise all of us think differently and feel like an alien in some social situations.

@john smith I don't think this is about her taking responsibility, what I take from this is. MAFS manipulates the stories for ratings. If you remember the beginning when they all individually put the things they are looking for in a partner. The show put Matt and Lauren together and they are completely not compatible. Plus as you can see, poor Matt has high Anxiety levels which would also have depression. They have put him on the show with these conditions making him highly vulnerable to the scrutiny of the Australian Public. They kept calling him "The Virgin". Seriously no one meets another . person and is introduced as ..Hi this is Sarah, the non virgin. The producers put him on the show because he was a virgin..what a great story line for them. Plus it's his first experience with a women and it's all on TV. I can remember when my cherry was popped many years ago the emotions and other things you go through is like a roller coaster. I have also work behind the scenes on film and television and I know how producers would do exactly what she said. I also worked in Sydney as a hairdresser and did the hair of 2 clients who went onto a Reality show about women looking for a husband ann dating. They put a group of women into a house and then set them up on dates. One of the women was sent on a date, they has called the guy before the dinner and cancelled. So when she went to the restaurant to meet him, it looked like a no show. All for ratings. This show seems to be about manipulating human behaviour. We all have emotions, some people deal with their emotions better than others. I always liked Lauren, I had a look at some of their instrgram photos from before them going into the show. Laurens had more photos of her life and less photos of selfies. Alot of the others have daily pics of Selfies. And as far as looks, the industries I have worked with over my lifetime have taught me that the most beautiful people can be sooo ugly on the inside. We are also made to think as a society that skinny or have a muscly body is how everyone should look and that's beautiful. Plus beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I hate it when people bag others about their looks and body shape it makes them shallow. Some people in this world have underlying health conditions that will not let them ever be social medias Ideas of beautiful. The show this year has gone to a whole level of being wrong. No one deserves death threats or threats of violence due to being on a TV reality TV. It's wrong. I don't understand how some people think it's ok to be so cruel to others to the point they commit suicide.
@Nattie bubbles I don't believe she is..I see her interview as showing what's going on behind the scenes. As this year has gone so far below the belt for ratings. I totally believe they Producers picked them for story lines. Big Example is Matt and Lauren. They kept all media marketing calling him "The Virgin" . Never had a girlfriend, has high Anxiety. No experience with women and what to say and do. This would be a huge experience for a man in that situation. Also Matt doesn't drink and they were sent to a Winery for their honey moon. Like I said in another reply. I worked in Sydney hairdressing and had 2 female clients that went on a reality TV show about women looking to meet their husband. They put the group of women into a big lush house in a affluent part of Sydney and followed their stories of dating. One of the girls had set up to go on a date at a restaurant. The show had called the man and told him the date was cancelled. So when she went to meet him at the restaurant the cameras showed he didn't turn up and piked out. All for ratings. I believe everything she has exposed. Plus the fact that when they leave there is NO counselling for adjustment, being a public figure etc. No human deserves to be called names, be given threats of violence and also death. Channel 9 need to be more responsible. This show is meant to be about finding a perfect mate from a so called expert panel.. MAFs have turned it into Scandals and drama.

I am from the UK and this series started in early January and is on each weeknight ,so we are seeing series 6 now .Last night we saw mad Ines go into Sam's room ( room 102 ) and then the camera panned to Sam opening the door to let her in & on the door was room (104) lol.Then Skeletor Ines shags sailor Sam & has black knickers on ,then she jumps out of bed with white ones on !.It's the most ridiculous show & its like watching a slow motion car crash ,embarassing to admit watching some of it..lol

Good on you Lauren for speaking up, however, I really don't understand what people expect from signing up to reality shows?! We have seen the evidence in previous seasons of producers being manipulative and money hungry.
MAFS should fire those staff assigned to do the pairing thing, there's a big issue of mismatching couples. If they're such experts, how come 90% of their matches never worked?
