  • If Kendrick Lamar - "Humble" off his album "DAMN." was produced on a low budget using only the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator PO-33 KO and sounds from the Garageband app on the iPhone.
    Instrumental cover and demo/tutorial on how to sample and make beats on the PO-33 using step sequencing and by playing sample pitches melodically.

    Love it. Nasty noise/hum in the background, though. With analog, it pays to pay for good shielded cables.

      Noise Reduction Software works for dialogue. Not sure about music.

      PO-32 Tonic has 4 groups (columns) for tones, and only one sound from the group can be played at once, I don't think PO-33 has this limitation, it should be able to play all 16 sounds at once. I own both of them but I didn't "stress test" it that much :D

    What kind of chord did you use to record the samples? Just a regular aux?

      Yup, stereo 3.5mm aux is how you sync/sample devices :)
