For artillery tow and movement purposes, the MRL is counted as a light howitzer; it fires as a heavy mortar, but moves and tows like an artillery piece
Marcus Vine has already indicated that flamethrowers are getting nerfed or at least that engineer platoons aren't going to allow you to have 7 flamethrowers. On the Juggernaut podcast when this was suggested to him, all he said was "use a bit of common sense" and "you're assuming flamethrowers are still as strong as they were in v2." So, these aren't going to be as strong as everyone thinks or wants them to be.
I hope these kind of armylists will not be available. It completely kills the game. Not just by the units but if you play 28 orderdice, the game time is way off.
You only need a second rifle platoon if you are duplicating a platoon choice. I.e. 2 engineer platoons, or 2 artillery platoons would require 2 rifle platoons, but 1 of each is 'unlocked' with a single rifle platoon.
😂@@Adrokk3 I do not read it that way. From the intel report is that if u get a different platoon, u need another rifle platoon to 'open' for another type of platoon. Taken from Intel report" you can only have as many multiples of any Platoon type as you have Rifle Platoons"
@@nightalfyou just stated it multiples of any platoon as you have rifle platoons. So 1 inf platoon = 1 of each of the others. If you want 2 of any of the others you will need a 2nd inf. Platoon.
Hi @@nightalf, I appreciate that the Intel report wording would have benefited from an additional diagram mapping the relationship, however Warlord (through Marcus Vine online and a few podcasts) has confirmed the first platoon 'unlocks' the first 'set' of platoon structures. If you want to duplicate any given platoon (excluding a rifle platoon), you will need a matching rifle platoon duplicate. Essentially duplicate platoons have to match 1:1 with the rifle platoons 👍
This can be countered pretty easily with the new rules for mmg and hmg. I also think that multi rocket launcher will get nerfed as every single op unit in v2 has been nerfed until now
4 Nebelwerfer
Bo, you can't take the mules as they are not able to tow the 114 MRLs.
Mules are towing light to medium artillery.
114 MRL is a heavy mortar.

@@michaelybarbo3182 ahhh ok ! I didn't know. Thanks for the precision :-)
I don't have enough Flamethrowers for this.... Need to kitbash more (eventually)^^

I can't recall every playing in a tournament that would allow more than two flame throwers in your list.

Bo, u only got one rifle platoon. There should be two rifle platoon. One for the engineer platoon. N another rifle platoon for the Artillery battery.

@nightalf you have it wrong one infantry platoon unlocks the first tier of platoons. A second infantry platoon will unlock the second tier.

I really hope this type of army isn’t actually what gets played in 3rd edition. This looks awful.
as always, it is up to TOs to limit the crazyness
