Sign salah tp a new contract he's a legend at the club can't replace his quality
People just assume Salah is leaving without realizing he has a year left on his contract and is still not only 31 but in better shape than most professionals in their early to mid 20’s. Virtually nobody has stopped to think that Liverpool can’t force Salah to leave and Salah has no interest in going to Saudi when he very likely has another 2-3 years at the very top level. Salah is very likely going to stay and possibly even sign an extension.

With how transfer market is working out post Neymar to Barca, any uni student who has intro level of macro economics can explain that this is not a logical marketplace. The thing’s Salah is a big asset for Liverpool but he’ll one day eventually leave the club, may be not this summer but we need a player to be his backup it can be Bakayoko, Olise,Lookman or any forward who can fit in well. Liverpool don’t need much players, the team is almost complete all they need is three quality signings at the CB, DM and a forward. That’s all they need and with right psyche they can do better than this season.

What I genuinely think would be a good transfer is if Liverpool put in a £40m + Salah bid for Cole Palmer.
Liverpool get a great player for the future, someone who would be in a team that matches his talents and someone that can replicate the goals and assists which Salah has amassed for Liverpool.
Chelsea would lose their best player but would gain a player with a wealth of experience (something which Chelsea have desperately lacked), a player that could still give you 1-2 seasons of stellar performances and who could be instrumental in supporting Chelsea's younger players.
