The general linguistic term for this is "reduplication". If my partner and I are talking about this trick, we call it "боорцог моорцог (boortsog moortsog)". I'm not really sure why hahaha, I think it's because that was one of the few words I knew when I first asked about it. Thank you for the great video! Looking forward to more!
We have some similar stuff in hungarian, but we put the changed word in the front and we change the vowels instead of consonants. Like: dirib-darab (lot of small pieces), lim-lom (all kind of small trash, odds and ends)
Hello! I think you're correct. If it's a vowel, add M. If it's a consonant, replace with m. If it starts with m, replace with z instead. Good question!
It is also in Turkic languages. We use a lot in Turkish in the same way. Interestingly it is used in german after the influence of Turkish to daily German speaking
@@mongollanguage for example, deli: crazy, deli meli; for stupid: aptal : aptal maptal, for kidding, şaka maka. etc., we use it mostly emphatic purposes.
@@tasse0599 i dont really remember right now. But i’ve heard from a german youtuber called julia graner maybe you can find her channel. His videos are in turkish

Do you know about any examples in German. The only ones I could think of are: "larifari", "Krimskrams"
