Great job, Jay!!! Thanks for your fine show coverage. Much appreciated. I really enjoyed it. And, you're right. Loved your commentary and your unbiased appreciation for the ESD system. Bringing politics into play is selective hitting under the belt. No one is buying american made gear because the designer is a democrat or a republican, then why reserve such political bias only for chinese made audio gear, when we have absolutely no reservations in buying laptops, TV's and literally everything else we are using in our daily lives from china. And this coming from an Indian :) Thanks for voicing your beliefs boldly as always. Much appreciated.
Jay, wonderful to meet you and your lovely wife in the PS Audio room at the end of the show at 4 on Sunday while filming an interview with Chris Brunhaver the designer of the FR line of speakers. Looking forward to your review of the FR 5!
Always interest in what you have to say about hifi. And thanks for keeping it real. Looking at the pictures of the C*A*T system, I wondered how al those tubes would work out in South Florida in the summer. And the ESD system. Can't afford it, probably won't ever get to hear it, but what an amazing piece of art. Thanks for keeping politics out of it.
4 weeks ago i bought the Børresen X1 speakers. Impressive sound in many ways, but almost too clean sounding resulting in a clinical sound. I was not involved in the music. So now i have returned to Audiovector speakers
Nailed it. Borresen is super impressive in a short demo. But I feel overstimulated after listening to it too long. I call it left brain audio. As opposed to the Devore room which is right brain audio, it gets out of the way and lets the music be the star.

Jay, love the honest comments you make. Your always the first I listen too when you go to shows. Also great comment for ESD, you are so right to leave politics out of your opinion. The best coverridge of the Axpona 2024. Thanks Jay.
If I sounded harsh about ESD compared to my Avantgardes, I didn’t mean it to come off that way. I thought the ESD system sounded good, and definitely get an A+ for rarity and uniqueness. I agree with your picks and would also add the X3’s with an integrated Aavik preamp to the affordable list. Best AXPONA show so far!

Very good I thought. I think the new line of B&W 800s are great. The Classe amps and preamps are up to the challenge. Then I heard the $15k Mofi Turntable with their phono stage. Moat of my time at the show was in the Duntech Halcro and Mark Dohmann room with their 1 million dollar system. I was impressed with the Canor tube cs player for $10k. I also liked the Audio Solutions Figaro Speaker for a mere $15k with the Vittus Or Soulnote amps. Of course the Yamaha C 5000 pre is a goal for me. That's 13k fully balanced with bass and treble control...shock horror. I'm a vintage Altec Jbl and EV fan boy.

Wish you would test the FR30 with your big rig, it will be better as what psaudio can present on the shows because they stick completely to their stuff which is good but not great. I use Jeff Rowland 625 S2 / Capri S2 SC and Playback Designs MPT8+MPD-8, he used psaudio transport, their amps and msb reference DAC. He was amazed that he liked my rig more. It was a good test because he has the same speakers and nothing special done in the room... So listen to the FR30 with your big electronics would be interesting
Much of that systems cost was just the magical lacquer. I don't know how much that affects the final sound but you can get it for you know like 1.2 to 1.4 million or something which is good value actually
LOL, I'm pretty sure on my death bed *nobody* would care if I saw an audio system priced at $4M. Just because some company says it costs $4M doesn't mean it's worth $4M. Bigger is definitely not better and that system seems to be a very good example.
