This woman's a genius. Its even funnier than I remember..
Yes it is, rewatching after all these years 😂
@@Karyn.ntiamoaa where can u watch it
I'm so happy I found this. New Yorker here, British humor is superior. No lie.
Peckham laugh meaning the hood laugh 😂
Yeah totally agree 😂
👏🏽👏🏽👌🏽👌🏽💕
ade doyin ...big up peckham ... Im in Norwood 🙌
I live in Peckham
This show was so underrated
Think you mean Over'.
She was a dyam foooool
@@trishg151 Why do you say that?
Focken so underrated alrit
@Jae too long 🙄
@Jae yep hun 😄
i don’t think anyone knows how much nostalgia this brings me i used to binge watch these on my ipad when i was like 8
Gee Wiz binge watch this at 8! Wer was ur folks.....
I understand the nostalgia! Year 9 squad over here! 😂
ArethaNia Kay Yes! When BBC3 was an ACTUAL tv channel. Good times
I used to watch this when I was 12, with my whole family. We all used to watch 3 non blondes as well before it got removed.
This came out before iPads were invented...
Little Miss J's sketches have aged very well. Thank goodness for great comics
Nobody knows I am black 👌🤣🤣🤣🤣👌👌👌
Yeah we do cos we are all your fans xxx
Jocelyn is THE funniest comic! Her take on so many situations is so hilariously, cringe-worthy, brave and imaginative. And such talented mimicry of diverse accents, attitudes and characters. Bravo, Jocelyn... Thanks for the kind of continuous laughter which brings on wheezing asthma attacks! Stay outrageous!!!
The original Karen she is
I’d forgotten how funny she is. A contemporary of Cathrine Tate. Why she didn’t make another series. But considering the contemporary comments poor people
Jocelyn is so accurate in her portrayal of how shook the lone black worker reacts when another black person enters the office. Funny but depressing af.
BS
She looks like she’s malfunctioning.
I thought it was a clever way to illustrate the awkwardness of code switching. White people do that too. E.g. when talking to northerners / southerners if you've lived among both. Sometimes it's easier just to be more like them.
@@MiG2880I considered her shook because she didn't utilize code switching to forge intimacy and solidarity rather to distance herself from that identity. The stronger her self denial the more her speech and body language asserted her identity. It was absurd and I've seen people who have done this and it struck me as tragic.
@@Essex-ux4zv Yeah it is. I guess when you've lost out on jobs and been avoided because of an accent it can make a person act in strange and tragic ways. Still, it is just satire.
The nostalgia is crazy. This show was truly legendary
The aeroplane tantrum was so unexpected 😂
Yep, when 0:59 began I was thinking "uh-oh, self important yuppie tantrum alert!"
So modern tho
How Karens actually act. She even has the haircut too!
I used to do the jiffy impression. "I am going to give you a ticket. This will take a loooooong time!"
Umwokopopo 🤣🤣🤣
Don't speak that Pat-wa with me. 😂💀
This show. Lard Gawd. 🤣
😂😭 The scene of the new black employee is hilarious funny 😂😅😅 sorn speak patios to me😂😂 bbc three really did have gems
The genius of this seems to be lost on most people. Actually she is poking fun of many black people I know who absolutely detest that they are black and actually hate being associated with black people. Its so brilliant!!
I doubt if you know any black people
T S
So you know many black people who detest being black?
Hmmmmmm...
G.C. Morrocco yes. Some prefer to be called Indian American instead of African American. I met someone in Italy with such warped mentality
You're very right. I was surprised when I joined the corporate world to see that some black people don't want to be associated to being black all in the name of fitting it and I just couldn't stand them. Not sure I will ever understand their ideology.
@@therealgodessisis well...Apart from myself, my family and half my friends and most of my church no, I dont know that many black people 😊🤣🤣🤣
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot this even existed!
I forgot how brilliant this show is. She's a comedy genius!
I love this woman soooooooooooo much wow... still funny to this day timeless 🦋🙏🏿
Still funny....? never ever was
She's hilarious 😂
The tall man was ready to cheat on his wife and risk it all 😂😂😂😂
I'll never understand why they cancelled this, little Britain and come fly with me ✈️😂I love this, this makes me laugh 🤣😭
I think Little Britain and Come Fly With me were in trouble for stereotyping gays black white and asians and racism sexism and all the rest.
@@MrAssassinash yes true but I found it very funny I wasn't offended at all... I think as a society we used to see humour in things back then now it's a taboo... I just feel as long as something is not malicious then there's no problem
In years to come The Simpsons will be banned
@@MrAssassinash loool maybe possibly family guy too🤷🏾
@TheSkarekroe it truly is ...it's a damn shame
Oh snap, I've just been reminded where I got "I don't got time" from!
"Dis will take a looooooooòng time" 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣 brang me back LIFE!!!🖤🇬🇧🇯🇲💯
Brought **
Brang isnt a word babe
@@jaybee7448 It has not been officailly declared a word but I am apart of that small group, that believes just like 'sung', 'sang' is to 'sing' and/or 'rung', 'rang' is to ring. 'Brang' or 'brung' should be inflections of the word 'bring'. That is not the case however and had a lot to do with how the pedigree of our society chose to enunciate their words. 👍🏾
@@jaybee7448 Also i wrote that how i said it in my head. It is not an exam just youtube. You are not dealing with a simpleton. Stay out my business💯 Please and thanks👍🏽
Never seeing a comedian like this one. I think she is unique.
There was another series made by Jocelyn called the three Non Blondes hilariously funny too
Tameka from Eastenders was In it. I loved it
This was one of my favourite sketch shows from the past - Jocelyn is a genius!
“Take off your hair and stand on the scales” hahahahaha OMG
“This will take a loooooooooooong time”
“I’m gonna call my Mum, that ain’t right”
“No one knows I’m black”
“OMWOKWOPOPO”!
TOO MANY TO MENTION!
Adored this show! Crazy to think that she wouldn’t even get away with half this stuff nowadays cause people have lost their sense of humour
Sad
Least we all got to enjoy her comedy❤️
Legend
I swear if Jocelyn and Catherine Tate had to do something together I would probably wet myself laughing. "Save yourself." "But, am I bovered though?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Miss Jocelyn recreating Karen's everywhere
Jocelyn the original Karen
This is like that Hong Kong passenger who pitched a mega fit.
This Brit BBC series from 16+ years ago. Little Miss Jocelyn = a trailblazer in many senses of the word. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Her show takes me back to my tweens, I appreciate this show so much it showed me black women humour - I had dreams of being in advertising at the time and it showed me creativity exists within us♥️
I'm from the U.S. and I'm only now learning about this show. My family's from Ghana (I know Jocelyn's Nigerian) though and I never thought I'd hear this song on TV (8:08). That's awesome haha Love how much African influence there is in the UK.
I was actually surprised she was Nigerian. Her name Esien sounds very much Ghanaian as well.
Wait she Nigerian
I love that too 😍
S. omg! Essien is also a Nigerian name.
@@m.s.9439 there’s a few Esien and Essiens in Nigeria too.
This is some of the funniest comedy I've ever seen. What a talent!
The 2 mins silence has done me.... The guy are you OK 😂😂
Brilliant first time watching this love it another great British comedy show 🇬🇧👍🏿
Brilliant...! u dont knowgood comedy🤣🤣🤣
@@trishg151 uk like that 🤣🤣 this is what u call comedy
The “I USED TO BE A MAAAANNNN” alwaayyyyssssss gets me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 for more than 10 years😭😭😭
Little Britain - “ I’m the only gay in this village “
LMJ - “ I’ve been working here for 7 years and no one knows I’m black “
This lady is a comedy genius ❤️
This shit is hilarious!!!! What a great little find!
Jeeleigh Anne what shirt?
Save The Planet She said shit, can’t you read?
These were the days when everyone didn’t get offended by everything.
Shit shit shit😂😂😂
The Nigerian 🇳🇬 taxi driver, gets me all the time and the office lady. “Nobody, absolutely nobody, knows I’m black” Lmfaooooooooo… she’s such a legend 😂. It got banned for a reason. Such a shame cus this show was too good 😂
I know the sketch word for word.
Absolutely. I feel sorry for my black people who have mirrors in their homes that tell them they are white, with all the emphasised accents and mannerisms! 😂🤣😂. It’s sad to watch them perform! 🤣😂😂
You are heavy..... Get off my Scales before you break them! Savage ! 🤣🤣
Jocelyn is brilliant. "Here comes a cyclist". "Are they wearing flashy flashy jacket?" "No". "Then I can't see them"....oh man
Oh my God! This is one of the funniest things I've seen since AbFab. Brilliant actress. Great writer. This was awesome. Love from Philadelphia.
Take off your hair and stand on the scales i started crying 😂😂😂😂
I needed this laugh. With COVID and the Fires in my area, this was a good break. Can't find a laugh in America. They are too busy with Ellen Degeneres.
Has she EVER been funny?
@@toomuchinformation When Ellen did stand up, many years ago. She was funny. Now She's trying to play Mother Theresa and Scrooge at the same time. She's not funny anymore.
the years when humor was free and nobody gets offended by everthing
Says the white guy 🤣🤣
Trish G what I was thinking 😂😂
Trish G 🤣🤣
I know what you mean. Television has changed so much in such a short time. Most of the comedy I enjoyed 10 years ago wouldn't make it on today
@Steven Austin Do you even know what racism means?
Watched her like ten years ago but I can't get enuf of this woman coz she is rily so amazing 😁😁😁
Used to watch from South Africa as a kid. Loved it.
this woman is the female version of Eddie Murphy
🤣🤣🤣🤣☠
Thank God for UA-cam suggesting this show to me... HILARIOUS!
This show still makes me roar out loud lol 😂 funniest skits ever lol 😂
Times were good back then when this was showing on tv
I used to love watching LMJ.
Having been brought up in Ladbroke Grove the humour is right up my street.
Please bring it back.
Underrated.
Anyone here from 2024? 🖤
90s baby right here 👉🏽👈🏽
I am from the Caribbean and these skits so resonates with me esp, the nurse taking weight of patients. I had a similar experience. The nurse is obese and when she told me my weight she wanted a reaction. I told her I have a scale at home I know my weight. She did it to the other patients because other women came out upset about their weight.
OMG she is just amazingly funny. Why such a short lived series? Genuine tears of laughter at many of these sketches. Perhaps it helps to be familiar with some other cultures such as Nigerian/Ghanaian/Jamaican.
Jocelyn Jee you are an amazing woman and and incredible talent. We've needed this for years!!!!
Ooooo. I haven’t laughed so much for a long looong time, love her🤣🤣🌹💕💋
It's been years since this was on TV and it's still brilliant. I wish it'd come back. :)
