    Btw, @ProfessorDave, if you ever read this comment - just know that what you are doing with this debunking series is making a difference. I myself am quite the gullible individual and a thinker. Not a go-to research type of persons such as yourself. And you TAUGHT me to think and approach with some skepticism and I genuinely appreciate you for that. I only wish I stumbled upon your channel sooner. Thanks.

      @stylis666 6 днів тому +13

      @@taoofjester4113 Like Acidfunkish said, consent is an important factor and by equating everything to sex Terrence just wiped all consent off the board like it's nothing.
      On top of that, it's the kind of language that in cults leads to women being conditioned into believing that by allowing sexual acts to be performed on them they are part of a greater good. It's not kink shaming to shorten that to: you're just a pervert.
      I would've preferred it if Dave had mentioned those things. Terrence isn't just being silly, he is very much on his way to become very dangerous if he isn't already. And he's not alone anymore. People associate with him. People who can and will use the influence to abuse others. It's probably the whole reason they're doing this: to attract and use vulnerable people financially and sexually by offering them fake guidance and purpose. That's effectively the "kink" that Dave is shaming, and that is a good thing.

    I'm loving the flower-powered vibes Terry and Billy bring! Their content is like a cosmic smoothie for my soul - a dash of sacred geometry, a sprinkle of fractals, and a whole lot of 'aha' moments. But let's be real, I'm basically a genius savant who figured out the secrets of the universe by simply existing on this planet. I mean, it's not like I did any actual work or studied anything; I just got it all intuitively! So, if you're feeling like me - that is, superior to all those scientists and experts who actually put in the effort - then Terry and Billy are the perfect guys for you!

The age of misinformation and sensationalism has brought all these clowns to the forefront and the problem is that most sensible people can't possibly have the time or dedication to counter them. One of the guilty pleasures of life is listening to a child of 5 explain everything to you confidently having little or zero knowledge of anything. For instance, ask them to explain to you how open heart surgery works, why someone would need it, why it needs to performed in a Hospital, how much the doctor gets paid and why do they make that amount. You are likely to hear some of the cutest, craziest shit you've ever heard connecting things you would never have imagined. You can play along to a certain extent for your amusement, but don't go to the lengths of reacting in amazement and telling that child how much of a natural genius they are. If you do, in 30 years, you will have another Terrence Howard, and it will be your fault.

    Showed this video to my friend who is a psychiatrist, and she said He's probably going through a manic phase of a bipolar disorder or he's suffering from schizophrenia. The ramblings and connecting completely unrelated subjects to eachother, delusions of being a savior figure or a messiah, working 17 hours a day on his projects thinking that he has discovered the secrets of the universe, his history of domestic violence, being impossible to work with... these are things people need to get help for ASAP and unfortunately with this level of delusion its impossible to convince him to get treatment because he'll just think people are calling him crazy to shut him down and he gets even more convinced that he is right. It's actually really sad. And it's even more sad that people like Joe Rogan or this guy are using a literal mentally ill person on their shows...

      @@cynicallemonade1792 Personally, as someone who has a mother who's somewhat like this, I think it's your duty to pushback without alienating the person. My brother rather spinelessly chose to play along with her delusions, and I stood my ground. Her friends did too, for a while. That divide caused ALOT of problems and I'm furious at my brother for it. At first she made me a villain, a co-conspirator to the other imaginary agents in her paranoid fantasy, but after a long time of that not working out so well for her, she slowly came back. We're not out of the woods yet, but I think, or am hopeful, that she isn't as consciouscly/subconsciously incentivized to chase these "narratives" as much.
      And I suspect, she as well as Terrence, know at some level that all these things are false... but there's pride, there's fear, and so many other aspects in a person that play in. There's a strange comfort thinking you're the only one who knows 1 X 1 = 2, or that imaginary people are zeroed in on YOU because you're special.
      Just be sure to let your father know that no matter what, you'll be there. But sometimes, I guess, that might not be enough. Goodluck.

      The sub increase of this channel isn't due to the educational content, it's due to Dave realizing a while ago that his grifter debunk videos were performing way better than his educational videos. He also realized that the meaner he was to the grifter(s) in such videos, the better the videos would perform.
      So Dave decided to shift the focus of the channel: less education, more insults and hate.
      That's when the sub count of this channel exploded.
      Most people didn't watch this video for the little educational value in it, they watched it for the insults and overall abusive tone.
      Compare the average number of views his educational videos have and the average number of views his grifter debunk videos have... it's pretty clear that most of those subs are only interested in insults and abuse.

      @etch-e-sketch4051 3 дні тому

      @@skipfred Nah. AI Hallucinations are called such because we don't have a better word for it. It's essentially when an AI has enough training information to come up with a coherent answer within its internal rule set, lacks the capacity to verify whether the answer is externally correct, assumes that because the answer fits internally that it's valid, and gives the answer anyway. The AI isn't tripping balls, malfunctioning, or receiving incorrect inputs (as would be more analogous to human hallucinations).

    • @etch-e-sketch4051
      @etch-e-sketch4051 3 дні тому +1

      @@skipfred Except it isn't? We call it the AI 'hallucinating' because that's the closest term we have to describing the phenomenon in a simple way. I pointed it out in my comment that the mechanisms are wholly different. and the difference in the mechanisms between a human hallucinating and an AI 'hallucinating' are the point of saying that Terrence and Billy are acting like humans going through AI Hallucinations.
      Simplifying it down to 'seeing things that aren't there' appears to be your problem - that's the abstraction that allows the metaphor to make sense, sure, but the details under that abstraction that make up the differences still exist and still matter.
      Terrence and Billy are not acting like they are hallucinating - but they are acting like a couple of AIs whose answers are internally consistent to the rules as they understand them, without regard built into said rules for whether it matches reality.
