oh i remember that stream, it was so painful to see you suffer. BUT i love that feeling when you finally figure out how to solve a problem, i hope it was satisfying for you too😁
I love Ivara, but she's kind of a niche. Ideally, you want lots of duration (it makes toggles like 'Prowl' more efficient by extending the time between 'cost ticks'), and some plain energy efficiency (which reduces the cost of each tick). Throw on Equilibrium and you can get pretty close to 100% up time on Prowl with just those easy to get things. Plus, while in Prowl, Ivara can 'pick pockets' and get an additional drop from enemies! It's the slowest extra loot, though, by a wide margin. Oh yeah, and Prowl increases head shot damage. Put that together with her Sleep arrow and while she's not going to clear fast, she's very deadly. For movement, Prowl's augment, 'Infiltrate' really helps, plus you can roll without breaking stealth (which is kind of a hilarious time). And yeah, Lephantis sucks. I hadn't fought him in a while, but he was the boss for something recently, Steel Path thing or Sortie, I forget what, and I was reminded of that. It's an annoying boss fight, for sure.
Nice work on the small touches to the video (i noticed the intro and snappier editing). It's fun to watch you find your editing voice! Ivara was my first prime frame; i don't actually love her kit (not my playstyle) but I'll always have a special place in my heart for ivara. 2 tricks, with a small range buff you can use your invisibility arrow on your taxon companion and you'll be invisible too, free to run and jump without breaking stealth. 2nd, you can roll (but not slide) and not break the stealth from your 3. Significantly faster than walking everywhere
Ivara is a great example of a well themed frame. The infiltrate aug mod along with her pickpocket passive, an energy build and a silent secondary(for breaking chests) makes her a spy goddess. She has other uses too, but destroying spy missions is to much fun.
Kudos on killing lephantis. I know your pain. I too ran out of time in the past. After that i always had a teammate to hunt lephantis with just to make it go quicker.
A. Ivara Yeah, I only pull her out for Spy missions and Jackal. (Dashwire comes in handy!) B. Ammo Mutation - converting unused ammo drops into stuff you can use There are a couple sources of this. Chat recommended one of the easier ones - the companion Carrier. There's also a family of mods ($WEAPON Ammo Mutation and Arrow Mutation) and Vigilante Supplies. They generally take a fair amount of drain to do a worthwhile amount, but they do go in exilus slots. Vigilante Supplies also comes with a DPS benefit, as its set bonus gives each crit a chance to upgrade. C. Nightmare missions This is completely unrelated to what you did in the video; it was prompted by a conversation with another new player. Nightmare missions drop some rather handy mods, but the way the reward pool is set up makes specifically gunning for them (especially Blaze and Hammer Shot) an exercise in frustration. So I recommend looking at them every time you log in and giving them a try - especially Mercury through Mars (the two I mentioned earlier only drop on those four planets).
I remember my frustration trying to kill the Ropalolyst on Steel Path and failing to the timer I didn't even know existed. I absolutely admire you for staying so chill and positive while opting for the hard solo way!
@@dimp1y I actually failed it together with a friend... You battled Lephantis - I think Ropalolyst on Jupiter is even more difficult with many phases and ammo deficiency. Don't know if you've killed him yet, be warned if you haven't and gear up for it!
@@suupala Ropalolyst shouldn't be as bad tbh. Mainly you just need to bring a sniper with radiation damage, and a decent weapon on the Operator. There's no significant damage attenuation, so you shouldn't need super powerful stuff. The main challenge is doing the mechanics of the fight. Intermissions also spawn some enemies, so ammo shouldn't be a problem either, but it's not really an ammo intensive fight, if you're doing it right.
Navigator (Ivara's 2nd skill) is pretty useless on its own, but if you build around it, it can deal ludicrous amounts of damage. I'm currently doing around 20-50 million damage on average with my Navigator Glaive build. Highest I've gotten was 160 million. Of course I understand that Navigator isn't for everyone. It can break the flow of gameplay for some.
I swapped Nyx Mind Control for the second, it works pretty well if you go full stealth to keep up the spawn rates in Survival. Plus it's just funny to control Eximus after you knock out Overshield.
It's times like this that it's important to remember to "Bring the right tool for the job". Sure, you can smash your face against a wall if you want to but if things feel like they're taking too long there's a good chance you're just not set up properly for the content.
@@dimp1y There are Incarnon adapters for Dread and Paris. They might be even better than Nataruk. I guess it depends whether you like more headshotting or the general bazooka style of Nataruk.

It felt good but also sad because I want to use bows for everything and it was basically just a weapon diff :(

I don't anticipate doing it solo steel path mind you... brave right back at you if you did!

I never knew about the mission time out until recently but I won't be forgetting the pain of it any time soon 😔
24:08 - 24:19 should be a stream alert xD
Me, a veteran MR 34 just found out that Lephantis has a time limit. 😂😅
That was a tough battle, but you got there in the end!
From one bow enjoyer to another I hope you one day get your hands on the prisma Lenz
is it better than Nataruk?
@@dimp1y Functionally no. Aesthetically, absolutely

for sure, now if I know a boss fight is on the way I'll usually ditch the bow and go for something more reliable
Ivara can do survival with her eyes closed, you need to use the stealth option , you get double resources from enemies, n
A bow main, interesting. Did you get the Dread yet?
Dread was amazing right up until I got the bazooka bow (Nataruk) and haven't looked back since

Using Ivara with my invisible build I once lasted two hours and never died or ran out of air, can't kill what you can't see, that is my motto
Lephantis is kind is annoying. It just takes so long, especially soloing steel path.
Your still welcome to my invisible forever build:)
Lephantis is just the worst.
